a nice short story in the setting

This short entry into the world of Septimus Heap has all the charm of the longer books on a much smaller scale. It doesn't add much to the larger plot, but is a fun little story in itself. Recommended for fans of the series.

    Recommended - Fitting Title

Good follow-up to the first book. Builds upon the original characters. Can stand alone as it's own story. Much better after reading "Magyk" the original & first book in the Septimus Heap series.
