    An Awesome Read

I could not put this book down. It not only takes you to the war with the men and women that are there, but it brings to life the dogs that save so many lives. I laughed, cried and wanted to keep on reading when the book ended. A big thank you to all the service members, who are putting everything on the line for us along with the remarkable dogs! God Bless Mike and Rex for your service and love that you had for each other and for writing this awesome book.

As a true animal lover, it was inspiring to hear the story of a marine and his K9 marine partner.  Parts of the book are upsetting, others are inspiring.  All in all, really enjoyed the book.

    great story & photos

This is a great read for anyone but especially if you love dogs or this breed. A must read for anyone who enjoys war stories. Honestly written--no sugar coating and the photographs are an added bonus as is the one on cover.

    Great Book

A great story about 2 Marines and how they work together to survive. The book doesn't rely on too much jargon, but is very much in the author's own voice. I would recommend it to anyone interested in German Shepherd Dogs, Military Working Dogs or the sacrifices of the men and women in uniform.
