    i liked it

Despite what the rest of you may believe, I liked this book. It intrigued me to sit and read and find out what happens next. I hope there is a 4th in the series!!

    could it have been better?

certainly, we all adore the characters by now.... but was the story line a bit to flat? was there enough actual uncertain action in the novel? are the characters too sure of themselves? they do seem to come across a bit full of themselves, don't they? although we all love the idea of the characters always winning.... perhaps everyonce in a while a little failure could show up and the character flaws could come into play a little bit more. Garric might just be too perfect to be real. If you've read the Wheel of Time series you know that there needs to be a bit of pain and actual human flaws to make an epic seem more life like. all in all, it was good, just a few things to concentrate on a little more.

    Good and solid storytelling

This book continues a tradition begun in the first two books--mainly quality storytelling. There is a nice balance between character deveopment and action. Not the best I've read this year but definately the pages turned quickly.

    A little too unbelievable!

I have enjoyed this series so far, but it is beginning the be a bit too unbelievable. No matter what the situation, the characters in the book seem to take it in stride. I feel no fear, urgency, or any emotion from our heros. You should be surprised in a sudden confrontation with your worst nightmare. Other than that, it is a fun series, and I suggest it during what feels like a void of good fantasy right now.
