    highly recomended

The must be the best book I have ever read on the subject of human relationship (don't be put off by the subtitle -the subject is much wider and deeper that homosexuality and the catholic church as it touches upon almost every aspect of human relationships in family marriage and society). Melinda Selmys continually returns to the teaching of the Bible which is clearly the source of all that she says. She also draws from an amazing breadth of writings ranging from John Paul II's massive encyclical on Human sexuality to Harry Potter. It is a logical sane and clearly thought through work and mercilessly cuts through all the hypocrisy and cant the manipulation and politics of the media and the half baked ideas of the liberal atheistic intelligence- the ideas that are half concealed in the words and terms that are adopted and are so easily swallowed whole by our all too receptive generation. It is also easy to read, laced as it is with humour and every day references that we can understand. One of its great strengths is that it is written from her own experience which she reveals with an honesty and transparency which is breathtaking. It is life affirming in the fullest sense. It is authoritive too - she knows what she is talking about. More than all of that it takes a fresh wholesome and hope filled look at one of the most contentious subject of our time.
