Shades of Gray

The best book ever

This book was great! I thought about how sad it was to be living without a family after the civil war. Meeting some of my family that I have never met before would be really hard to get used to. I knew he could show his uncle Jed that he wasnt useless because he was from the city. I would seriously consider to read this book another time and another. It is sad and exciting at the same time. I hope everyone takes a chance in reading this book, Shades of Gray

Shades of Gray the book of the season

What can I say it's the perfect book. This emotional book caries tears in your heart and makes you relize how lucky you are. Will's dramatic surfaces may be a little evil but he'll still steal a place in your heart.This will defintly be your favorite book.Once your done reading you'll see what I mean, and then you can tell your friends

Shades of Greatness

Shades of Gray is a wonderful book. When My teacher first gave out the book I thought 'Oh great, another boring history book.' But I was wrong about this book. It was exciting, sad, suspenful all in one book. It deserves a 6 star rating. READ IT!!!!!!!!(you'll be glad you did)

Actually pretty good!

When my class first got handed this book as a lit set, we all groaned and moaned, and most of us thought 'boring'. It was suprisingly good. It was sad what happened to his family, but atleast he learned how to accept his uncle and the decision he made not to go into the war. And I liked how at the end everything worked out. It always does!

omg!

if was an awful book it was so boring it doesnt even deserve a 1 but in some parts it was good but in others it wasnt. it seemed to go on and on about piontless things

Shades of Gray Isn't That Great After All

I thought that Shades of Gray was a good book in some ways but kind of stupid, boring, and kind of pointless in others. The good thing about it was that it really showed what it was like after the Cival War and what a bad time it was. And in other parts of the book the author didn't really explain things good enough to understand clearly.

WORST BOOK EVER!!!

When I was in 5th grade I had to read this and it was hortible. I learned nothing from it and there was no action whatsoever. DO NOT READ THIS BOOK NO MATTER WHAT OTHER PEOPLE SAY! This book is sooooooo horrible!

Well, this is one of my very favorite books concerning America's

Well, this is one of my very favorite books concerning America's Civil War!
Actually, it's the fictional story of Will Page after the war ended. He is only 12 years old and had already lost his entire family.

Will goes to live with his closest relatives, an aunt, uncle & cousin, that he doesn't know. Because Will is so upset about the war taking his family, he can't stand the fact that this new family of his didn't even fight in the war to protect the Confederates.

Turning a city boy into a country boy might not be such a bad idea..
Check out this book. It is really worth the read!

I am in the middle of this book and so far I am liking it. But it doesn't have a good hooking first chapter, so don't judge it by its first chapter.

Great Book

This is a great book. It's very entertaining and has a message that is timeless. This book was part of my daughter's summer reading assignment and we read it together. I really enjoyed it.
