This book is a must read for anyone wanting to know more on the Titanic and her survivors. Not only does this book give you an account of history on each passenger it also tells you of the survivors and what they did with their lives after surviving the Titanic diaster. This book is hard to put down as it reads like a novel and has so much info on the passengers. I highley recommend reading this book. I love it!!!!

    Interesting

The beginning of this book was very interesting. I had never read before about the survivors and how the cries of those dying stayed with them all of their lives. As the book progressed, I found it to be too wordy and scattered, by which I mean, I wish it had shorter chapters, each titled with the name of the person being featured. Also, there are too many details about each person. I would have preferred this book to be more concise, less rambling, and more to the point.

    Avidreader

Very interesting read that starts off strong; however, it becomes very wordy and dis-jointed. Focus on certain survivors clearly provides the writer an opprotunity to establish individual chapters for them alone. Perhaps Mr Andrews felt overwhelmed by the amount of information available. Being an avid Titanic buff myself , there is a great deal out there and it would be easy to be swamped in details that might not be of importance to the reader.

This is like the nosy person book

It tells you the background of the people that survived the Titanic. Like hearing someone tell you about the person life like they were actually their friend. You be amazed about what some went through especially the people in the upper class. I highly recommend this as a book to read.

I bought this along with the Archibald Gracie book on the Titanic. I could not put this book down. This was excellent. I loved that it was after that it seemed to pick up on board the Carpathia and follow the survivors through their lives. Absolutely EXCELLENT!!!

Having read quite a few books on Titanic this was a first reading in detail about what happened to it's survivors and the difficulties some of them had dealing with the tragedy. It was a very interesting perspective during a time when PTSD or survivors guilt was not an identified condition. I would recommend this book to any Titanic enthusiast.
