    Amazing

this is the only cd worth headbanging to. enough said. confined is an absolutely amazing song as is illusions, and meaning in tragedy. also AILD adds some actually understandable vocals into some of their songs on this album which is a suprising and accepted new idea. all in all though, get it, pop it in your cd player, and be blown away.

    OK

I really wasn't impressed by this album. every song sounds the same. i couldn't even tell when the track changed, Norris' words run together and the background guitar sounds the same in every song. also, every other band out there sounds like this now, and think that screaming and throwing in some heavy drums in the back is music. Give me something that's different from everything else coming out now, please. The only place worth hearing these guys is at a concert where you can be entertained by drunk people in a mosh pit.

    Epic.

If you love melodic riffs, meaningful lyrics, killer double bass, and amazing vocals, then this, my friend, is your album. As I Lay Dying is amazing. The End. Ps. If you like AILD, give a listen to Becoming The Archetype. They're just as amazing.

    PURE METAL GLORY

As I Lay Dying are one of the most best and brutal bands in the scene today, and "Shadows Are Security" is their masterpiece. So do yourself a favor and buy the first copy you see and blast it!

    Live

I saw them a few months ago herein Richmond, and was blown away. What was better was that they played both old favorites, and songs from the new album. It's every bit as good as I expected. I would recommend it to anyone who likes Metalcore in the vein of Killswitch Engage.

    They Are All Right.

I like to listen to music as much as the next person. If you like to hear what people are actually saying clearly (and it's not a bad thing if you don't, it's just my perferance) don't get this b/c the words are hard to understand. There is one song I do like and it's called "Control is Dead." When I lookd up the words online the lyrics were beautiful and began to fall into place. I won't be buying this album but it's not someting i would surpass if it was on the radiostation without giving it a full listen to again, and perhaps it will be my new favorite band. I just can't get past the screamo part of it. Listen to the album on here. I think it's a hit or miss.

    Awesome Album!!!!!!!!!!!!

As I Lay Dying is definitely one of the best Death/ Metalcore bands around. This album is great from the first riff of Meaning in Tragedy to the last note of Illusions. I would recommend this album to anyone who likes amazing metal

    Shadows Are Security

I really enjoyed this album. It is very similar to their previous album. Granted, most of their songs sound the same, but so do bands like Slayer. I really respect the musicality of the band and the passion of the vocalist. I also like the fact that they sing a tad bit more than in the previous album.
