Kami and Daniel both had unhappy childhoods. While LAPD Officer, Daniel, did not know where his parents were, Kami and her sister were estranged. After Daniel had a motorcycle accident he discovered his brakes had been cut. Several suspicious things happened: his partner JD’s car was rigged with explosives and Kami’s door was booby trapped with a gun set to shoot when opened. Daniel, JD and Kami, along with officers Jordan and Aurora, tried to figure out who was trying to kill them and to apprehend him.
This book has strong Christian overtones. Daniel struggled with his faith but turned back to God after his accident. While romance was the last thing Kami or Daniel expect they were drawn together. This book is excellent Christian suspense, with good moral values and a deep abiding faith. This is the third book in the series. I enjoyed revisiting the Reiley family.
