SHATTERED REVIEW:)

I'm going to tell you a little about the book Shatter. The main character is Darcy. Darcy is having a rough life; her dad left her whole family for 5 years and has been back for 1 year. Her mom is pregnant and her grandma died. Her sister Jamee is the only one she can really talk too. During the summer when Darcy's boyfriend (Hakeem) left; Darcy started seeing Brian. Brian tried to go too far with her on the couch. Her dad had to stop him. When Hakeem comes back, she tells him what Brian did to her. He went nuts! Him and his best friend, Cooper, went to Brian's and tried to beat him up! Tarah called Darcy and told her what was going on. Darcy had to stop it. So is Darcy's life going to keep getting worse and worse or will it start getting better and better? To find out, read the book!
RECOMENDATION
I recommend this book to read because it was about life circumstances that happen with many different families today. Also has life changing events. So if you like love, protection, sadness, nervous or exciting stories, I would read Shattered!

Another winner in the Bluford High series. Darcy and Hakeem broke up right before he moved away. Now Hakeem is back and both teens have secrets that may shatter their shaky relationship. Alcohol abuse by a parent, one-parent families, trust, and sexual assault are discussed. As with all books in the series, these real-life issues will resonate with teens. Thanks to Puget Sound Council for this review copy.
