The author did a good job covering acronyms and basic definitions. Unfortunately his writing seemed too academic a disconnected from real world business. Most examples given were generalities, only a few business cases were referenced. Those few references had little to no details, yet anyone paying attention to business could have referenced numerous cloud computing uses dating back to the early 90's. Granted it was not called cloud computing then, but hard examples could have been used. Tied to the weak cloud computing examples was a seeming lack of practical business operations knowledge. Being a cloud computing primer book for business execs, an author must show a level of real world business savvy.
