I read this book while I was completing a Masters/Internship. I was the only black student in a program for a career field with a limited number of blacks. This book proved to be a great read and lesson. It helped me to better cope with the professional environment and situations that I encountered while working. I realized that I wasn't crazy. Things that I thought were happening, really were. I have recommended this book to other professional black women and they too expressed delight in being so thoroughly understood.

Dead On Ladies...
This is it! This is what I have done my entire life but I called it 'doing what I gotta do,period'. It's just what we do and feel as Black women. Thank you so much for putting things in black & white. I'm going to share this book with all my friends & family.
