This is a great book filled with insight into the real life of Shirley Jones. The details of her marriage to Jack Cassidy are very interesting. Her account of her relationship with step-son David Cassidy is eye opening. A very good book. Highly recommended.

I am an admirer of Ms. Jones, and met her a few years ago.  She is a lovely and gracious woman.  But this memoir was not impressive.  For starters, it was brief.  Some interesting subject matter was merely skimmed over, while other parts were seemingly added in for shock value.  I admire a woman who is not ashamed of her sexual conquests, but I feel that those were added in at the last minute and without the proper context.  And to talk about the size of her stepson's schlong was just creepy.

    Easy to read

This book is written in a very matter-of-fact, easily read msnner. You almost feel as if you're chatting with Shirley Jones. It's full of interesting facts and anectdotes. It was hard to put down. Thouroughly enjoyed it.

A quick read that stays with you

This is a view from a life that is so different from my own that I was fascinated. She doesn't mince words about anything -- co-stars, family, even her sex life.

    Very good read,an eye opener!

Shirley Jones is a beautiful woman, her life is very, very interesting, indeed! To think that she loved a man so much that she put up with his abuse,is mind blowing to say the least. She is quite a woman.

    Entertaining and Surprising

Hard to imagine the squeaky clean mother of the Partridge Family in situations that she talks about, but Shirley Jones speaks candidly and honestly about a life far apart from the psychedelic-bus-driving mentor of a troop of shaggy-haired, freckled-faced, bell-bottom-wearing, singing family.

I found the book very interesting and fast. Anyone who thinks they know Mrs. Partridge, doesn't know Shirley Jones!
