    Disappointed

I was looking forward to this book. After reading Wishful Drinking, I just knew the next one had to be even better. I was wrong. There's something missing in this one. Humor. Yes! That's it! That's what is missing. Let's hope the shock treatments didn't remove that from her as well. One more thing: The book has less than 100 pages of actual text. Wishful Drinking had even fewer if I recall. But there was more substance, more story in Wishful Drinking. This one had words, lots of words (she's very good with words), but the stories were weak. I was about to give two stars, but decided on three. After all, this is Carrie Fisher. The next one will be better.

A great follow up to Wishful Drinking. A shocking (literally) group of stories told the way only Carrie Fisher can.

I thought the first part of this was book was a little too much

I thought the first part of this was book was a little too much on her health. I almost gave up, and then it turned into her relationship and information on her dad, singer Eddie Fisher. And then it became interesting. Because she read, or talks, this book in audio, with very interesting and unusal deleivery, I'd recomend that instead of reading in print.

    So so

I wanted to enjoy this--really, I did. I've read a couple of her other books and enjoyed them. However, this one tried too hard to be off-hand and witty. You can only read so many times how ETC affects your memory before it just becomes a meaningless excuss.

    Carrie Fisher "Shockaholic"

I've enjoyed her other books, but this one left me flat.

    No gooder

This was definitely a big let down. Didn't reveal anything of any interest to me. Guess she needs the money, because there is absolutely nothing in this that I didn't know already. Big disappointment after seeing all the other great reviews.

    Interesting insights into Father/Daughter relationship

After hearing Ms Fisher on some TV interview shows I expected a bit more depth from her book. The observations in the interviews were more interesting than much of the written material.
How she grew to understand and help her father in his later years was inspiring.
I wish the book had been longer. I wanted more - information, humor, observations. Great photos too.

    Very good read.

I've read all of Carrie's books. This was not her best endeavor.

    Unexpected

When i first heard that Fisher was writing a new book it was supposed to be about her Star Wars fame. While this book is not that, the chapter devoted to her father is worth the quick read. Fisher has always had a way with words and this is no exception!
