My friend gave me this book and told me it was funny. I LOVED it, it was hilarious. As if the writer is talking to you. It really cracked me up. Every day, when I come from work so stressed out and pissed off from my boss or stupid co-workers, I cuddle up to this book and just forget all about the sad things in my day.

Mindless

This book is what I call a mindless read. There is no emotional ties in this book. It is just a light read. It is something to pass the time.

    Not recommended

The main character a spoiled rotten person. I couldn't believe how she bought anything and everything in sight. In the end she changes but it was unrealistic.

    A literary cavity

An easy read (i.e. one sitting) but, like another reviewer, I found the shallow protagonist utterly maddening and incorrigible. Spare yourself the irritation of this book!

Same silly shopper, same silly plot

I listened to the audiobook, and the narrator was very good and kept it entertaining. But I kept wanting to shake Becky who learned nothing from her previous mishaps and is continually clueless. I rather enjoyed Jess telling her off. I bet there will be more b/c there's always a market for chick lit. I'm guessing that the next one will be 'Shopaholic and Baby' and talk all about buying cute baby clothes.

    Meh....

I thought the book was 'OK', yet I was quite disappointed with Sophie Kinsella for not writing about Becky having a baby. Instead she had to write about an ugly sister who eats rotten potatoes.....

    HORRIBLE

I read the other three and LOVED them. This one was just outright stupid! Throughout the ENTIRE book Becky just proved what a true idiot she is. She's getting older with each installment, so her antics aren't funny anymore like they were. How her husband can remain married to her is questionable without a doubt. I couldn't even finish the book, it was that bad! I have no plans to read the next one, if there is one. I think Sophie needs to move on from Becky Bloomwood/Brandon and look to more intelligent horizons.
