Do not read this book right before going to bed.
First, I was a little disappointed by the price/length ratio, it seemed a little pricey for a 71 page book, but let me tell you, those 71 pages are jamb-packed with enough horror that I had nightmares two nights in a row after reading this book, and I don't remember the last time any book gave me a nightmare. I spent the entire day after reading this book researching the hell out of Zoroasterism. It's one that I can't stop thinking about, and even the parts I thought were quirky and charming gain a new sense of horror the more I think about them.
Minus one star for all the exposition about Mormon beliefs--but then, I'm a quasi-active Mormon, so I found them more tedious than informative, so take that as you will.
Overall, kudos to Mr. Peck for writing a book that manages to be charming and incredibly creepy at the same time.
