Beware of culture subverting elitists under your bed!
Great work. Very brave for Linda Ingraham to take on Hollywood elites such as Mel Gibson and Arnold Schwarzenegger. With piercing insight Linda suggests that artists of all political stripes should conceal from her any political beliefs that may cause her offense. With extreme investigative panache, Linda skewers the hypocrisy of conservatives who whine endlessly about the political activities of Hollywood entertainers ¿ that is, unless they find one who agrees with them. Linda makes it clear why entertainers like Mr. Schwarzengegger are ¿culture-subverting elitists¿ who will ceaselssly inflict their coarse, retrograde and Nietzschean philosophies on an unsuspecting American public. Oh yes indeed, Ms. Ingraham nails the truth. A brilliant exposé, Laura!

Drivel from the far right
On a whim I picked up this book, hoping to be convinced of the good morals of true America. Instead I got endless fact-bending half-hearted attempts at brainwashing. This is quite simply the most stomach churning book I have ever read. No other conservative text can trigger my gag reflex so quickly.

The Title Says It All - Just Wish They Would Do It!
I have heard Laura on Fox News as a commentator and fill in host on The O'Reilly Factor and felt she had a great point of view. I bought her book 'Shut Up & Sing' via B & N. What an excellent book! This is going in our library as a MUST for anyone interested in one stop shopping on the culture in America and the differences between conservatives & liberals, Democrats & Republicans and the real America versus the underbelly of America. Laura's book is the most detailed, comprehensive and easy to read paperback I've found out there for the comman man/woman. She covers it all - who are the elites, how it started, where we are at now, where we expect to go, dangers in areas of religion, immigration, schools, universities, the media and world organizations such as the UN. I love when Laura tells the Dixie Chicks they have every right to speak their mind - free speech and all. In turn, we have freedoms too - freedom to not attend their concerts, buy their cds or watch their specials. The perfect quote she says, 'the off switch is a terrible thing to waste!'. So...off goes the Dixie Chicks, off goes stars like John Mellencamp, Ozzy, Babs, Sarandon/Robbins, Julia Roberts, Alec Baldwin, Jessica Lang, Merrill Streep and more. Cast the off switch and they will hear our vote finally! Fortunately, due to people like Laura, Rush, Glenn Beck, O'Reilly, Tucker, Newt and more...I have converted from being a life long Democrat to a conservative voter who punches the ballot now based upon issue by issue and politician by politician - not straight party ticket. I now understand casting my vote is just as important and withholding my vote at times. I have shifted from darkness to light and know my loyalties lie in God, family, country and fellow man. Our founding fathers, past veterans and current military persons have fought tooth and nail to get us where we are at today - people like Laura and others will keep us there. We are a great nation - we shall continue to be with their guidance and intervention. Don't let the underbelly make you doubt this! Read this book, share with others and don't loose hope. Five stars and then some Laura!!! Can't wait for her next one.

Hey Hollywood--Shut Up Already!
I recently met Laura Ingraham when she came to 'Flyover Country' for a live broadcast of her radio program in St. Louis. Laura takes on liberal elites not only from Hollywood, but also the mainstream media, the U.N.A.A. (United Nations Against America), academic elites on our college campuses as well as the antireligious elites of the Christophobic Left. God bless you, Laura! I look forward to your next visit, and hopefully a new book from you in the near future.

The Truth Hurts
For nearly forty years, this nation's networks and major newspapers have been openly at war against all of those who love this nation and its founding principles. Anyone who has suffered through a newscast from the major networks knows exactly what it's like to hear the country they love belittled and degraded by the those upon whom they depend for their news and information. Patriotic, God-fearing Americans have had to continue to endure this seemingly endless barrage of anti-Americanism that pours forth from their televisions, radios and cable outlets. For this reason alone, Laura Ingraham's book was like breathing the fresh, flower-scented air on a mountainside. Ms. Ingraham truly deserves five stars for this badly needed work.

Not a bad book
Althouth not quite a great book, Laura Ingraham did speak my mind on the very issues of elitism, the handing away of national soveriegnty, and most importantly she exposed Micheal Moore for the phoney he is. I would also guess that James Carson who used the phrase 'Since when are dishonesty, hatemongering and disrespect family values' in his review, did not read the book. I am a Democrat that disagrees with Ms Ingraham on such matters as Relegion and Health Care and I found not one word of hate. The book was insightful and not the typical republican cheerleading as she lists President GW Bush in one of her many catorgaories she has broken down to describe elitism. She also Mentioned Ralph Nader as not being an elitist. Can not get more open minded than that from the right( which is where Ms Ingraham gets her political views from).

Freedom a Two Way Street
This book is an excellent. It opens up discussion into the exact point the elites hate. That other people can express their views too and that we the 'lower classes' are not as stupid as they think. Way to go Laura. Thanks for being a voice for us.

More Narrow-Minded Hate
This was obviously another poor attempt at disgracing those who actually have the courage to stand up against George Bush and other neo-conservatives. This book was fundamentally flawed and as a centrist I found myself sometimes almost bursting with laughter at its blatant bias. The thought that progressive minded people who wish to make things better, are somehow actually holding America back, is pure stupidity.

terrible
I find it very strange that Ms. Ingraham assails people for voicing political opinions when she herself has no practical political expereince. She began her career on Rush which, contrary to his own opinion, is just a radio show. Although I am sure that she is very well informed about the events of the time her law degree gives her no more credibility than many of the people she rails against. Ms. Ingraham, one of the beautiful things about this great nation of ours is that noone has the right to tell anyone to just Shut Up. We all have a right to voice our opinions as loud and as long as our bankbooks will allow.

Aren't we sick of the hate literature yet?
Same old, Same old. you don't agree with me so your wrong and hate this country. Another ahem writer just trying to make money with as little effort as possible by screaming about what the other side is doing to her side. Give it a pass.

Must Reading for the Masses
Laura Ingraham does it again. She hits the mark with regard to media and political bias. A really good analysis of what is bringing our country (US) down.

The Elites won't like this book
I thought the book was well written and should be read by everyone. One of the questions I have been asking myself over the past 25 years is: What the heck is going on? How can a small elite minority have so much control over our daily lives? This book really brings the answers into focus. Thanks Laura!

Masterpiece
Laura Ingraham has written a masterpiece with Shut Up and Sing, she is a very articulate and intelligent author. The book gives great depth and reason to the left's destructive effort to change our traditional way of life and all of her assertions are backed up in great detail. For anyone who is intellectually honest this book is very difficult to agrue with. This book is a wonderul attempt to help preserve the traditions and values that built this great country. Ingraham points out how these unique values and traditions have created the greatest country the world has ever known, and how the left's worldwide socialist agenda would bring us great harm.

What happened to free speech?
'Conservatives' are supposed to defend freedoms like free speech. Once again, here's an unqualified person trying to silence other people's free speech in the name of freedom. Looks like hypocrisy to me. Since when are dishonesty, hatemongering and disrespect family values? Would she like her children to speak to her this way?

You Need to Read This Book
This book explains and clarifies the mind boggling agenda of the Politically Correct Elitists who have subverted the country for the past 40 years. If you have ever wondered, 'How can they say/do/think this?', then this book is for you.
