Close your eyes and imagine the iconic shades of the spring or summer seasons that are blue, a crisp open azure blue sky, the romantic hue of hydrangeas in a June bridal bouquet or the beautiful tint of a freshly laid robins' egg- can you imagine that just perfect shade of color? Well the Signature Rear Cover in "Marine" is calling to your nook then. I received this rear cover today and I couldn't be more surprised in the color of "Marine" it's just beautiful. It's not dark or a pastel blue but a deep saturated mid-shade. It's just so hard to pin-point the exact shade to describe to someone. The first time you look at it you just can't stop smiling. It's the absolute perfect accessory to anyone's nook for the spring or summer season (of course it would look fantastic in the cozy month of November also). The image on the Barnes and Noble website does not do this cover justice. Other then the wonderful color, the quality is excellent. These rear covers are so simple to add to your nook, they pop on and stay on. I now have two of the signature rear covers; my other one is the "Tangerine" (which is also wonderful and unique). If anyone is cautious about purchasing this cover or any rear cover, take a chance-I really do not think you will be disappointed, I smile a little more every time I enjoy my nook with its rear covers and their stunning colors. Oh and a little note to all the men out there, don't be put off by my review, the color just reminds me of the all the wonders of nature and special occasions the spring or summer seasons has to offer; this "Marine" rear cover in no way should be labeled "feminine".

(Side note to Barnes and Noble about suggestions to future color ideas: I would love to see a dark amethyst purple, a lilac purple or emerald green. I would purchase any of those (or all of them) gladly.)

Personal

Great product, will recommend. Product is great because it lets me personalize my Nook to the way i would like it to look. My whole family has a Nook and I am the only one with a new rear cover and now there is no dispute over who's is who's. Fast and easy to put on.

Marine Rear Cover - Beautiful and stylish!!

The marine rear cover for the Nook is a great addition to personalize it. The color is very close to what was represented on the website. I really like the way it coordinates with the Industriell Cover. It compliments the blue "n" on the inside with the little blue piece that sticks out. The cover is very easy to switch out and is secure once it is in place. The cover also feels soft and has some slight texture to it so you can hold the Nook comfortably without a book type cover. It also works well with the Hutton Envelope. It very easily slid into the cover with no problem. I definitely recommend this if you are looking for a splash of color and personality!!

Rear cover for my NOOK

If you love to read-then you are already a creative minded person with a developed imagination. Further develope your Nook to attract and customize it to your taste and when you hit that comfortable reading chair it will be with the Nook that attracts your eye as well. Color stimulates us-why not add it to your Nook!

Marine Cover

What could you not like? It separates my Nook from my husband's easily. I don't have to worry that I will grab his by mistake (and vice versa) - I don't think he appreciates my taste in books....

Fits like a glove

The cover fits like its an original piece. One thing to think about before buying is if whether or not you plan on using a case or not. If you use a case and don't take the nook out of it, you will not see this cover since it only covers the back. Other then that, it seems to be made in the same way as the original back cover and of the same materials.

Spring has sprung for the nook!

My husband bought me my nook for Valentine's Day and I love it! However, when he later surprised me with the Signature Rear Cover in Marine, I was beyond thrilled! It is as if my nook has been transformed for the spring. I highly recommend the colorful Rear Covers, for they definitely dress up, while still continuing to protect, the nook. You will not go wrong by purchasing the Signature Rear Cover; it allows you to personalize your nook in such a way as to show your individuality. However, you are not sacrificing the ease of reading that you have when using your nook. It's a win-win situation.

Its sooo pretty

I absolutely love this back cover its sooo cute the aqua color is gorgeous :) Its a better alternative to the gray one

Splash of color, Easy Install

Okay, so this is purely a cosmetic enhancement - totally frivolous. I still love it! The bright splash of color changes the look of the Nook subtly, but enough to make it "mine". I can even see it peeking out of the cover I carry it in. <g> The new rear cover was super easy to install. And it comes in a tray just perfect for storing the original one in for a backup. This is a great product. Now...if they would just offer them in red or maybe purple... :-)

A little extravagance....

I love my nook and decided that I would splurge and get a rear cover to brighten things up a bit. The colorful rear covers are made of the same, soft, almost sueded plastic as the orignal gray back cover. I had a hard time choosing between the green, pink and blue. Once I saw them in person at my B&N store; the Marine blue was the winner. It was easy to install (just follow the small instruction sheet included). But, is this accessory a must have? Not really, but it will give your nook some personalization and it covers the entire back so your color of choice WILL be noticed. I keep my nook in a cover for transport, but prefer to take it out of the cover to read and I smile when I see my blue nook! SO worth the purchase price to me!

Pretty color and satisfying finish

I purchased this colored back cover for my recently acquired Nook, as the original came with a boring and drab dark gray finish and I wanted some color to liven up my digital reader! It's pleasant to gaze upon and very comfortable to hold and makes my Nook even more a pleasure to use. It very easily installed, covering the battery compartment and the holder for the 16 Gigabyte mini-card, which is for additional books and other files. All and all, I am most satisfied with my purchase and the overall attractiveness the signature rear cover brings to my Nook!

love it

Bought the cover just give my nook a little character. Although I have my nook in the Alice in Wonderland cover, it still distinguishes my nook from the rest. It was easy to snap on.

love it!

I just received this in the mail yesterday and I immediately tore it open and put it on my nook. I couldn't decide between this color or the orange color, but after asking a few family members, they both agreed that I should get the marine color....and I absolutely love it! The marine color is exactly like in the pictures, except it doesn't have as much of a sheen to it and it has a little bit more of an aqua color in real life. It's still a very pretty color, nonetheless. It is definitely prettier than the ugly gravel color that the nook originally comes with. So, if you want to make your nook a little more beautiful, then this is definitely worth the price!

I like this rear cover

This was a fun item to add to my nook. I don't know if it was worth 19.00 but it adds a little bit of flavor to the look of the nook. I choose this color because I have the industriell cover with the blue nook symbol on it (on the inside of the cover) and thought I'd match them up. I know that sounds really cheesy, but I think its cute. If you are hesitant about buying a rear cover because you are afraid to pull off the old one (which I was), don't worry it is very easy to replace. It takes 30 seconds at the most. Read the directions and its very very simple.

If you want add some of your own personal flavor to your nook, a rear cover is the way to go. Enjoy!
