Barbara Marr finds trouble again

If you’ve ever read The Spellman Files you know how zany things can get when a dysfunctional family intrudes in a murder investigation. Well, the Spellmans have nothing on Barbara Marr. She’s a one-lady adventure (read: disaster waiting to happen) all by herself.

In this third Barbara Marr book, Barb is out to save an old friend from the slammer. There’s been a murder and Frankie, the ex-mafia man, is the assumed killer. This is a cozy read, with a full cast of endearing characters: Colt, Howard, the three girls, and Barbara’s mom. Add in Howard’s mom, a bird, a dog and enough criminal characters to provide mad confusion and your head will spin as you follow the improbable trail of clues to the end. The pace is quick and as with the best cozies, it’s a chance to spend time with characters you’ve been waiting to see again.

    Barbara Marr does it again!

Barbara Marr, soccer Mom, wife of an FBI agent, and attractor of dead bodies, does it again. Barbara has a movie review blog, and has been invited to a movie review screening. There she finds her friend, ex-mafia gangster-turned-chef, doing the catering. There she also finds herself under film director, Kurt Baugh, when he falls on her, vomits and dies. YUK! Never one to sit on the sidelines, Barbara enlists her friend, Colt, private eye, to help her snoop. In the meantime, her Mother-in-law has invaded her home, throwing even more zaniness into the mix. As always a good mystery, and lots of fun.

    Goldenstripe

"Why shouldn't I?" Goldenstripe protested, looking to Lilywolf sadly. "I love Velvetstar, and our kits, so much. But I can't go on living without you, knowing your here. I hardly survived the first time we were separated." His gaze went to the ground, to ashamed to look ay her. "I- I understand if you...don't...want to be with me anymore. Between...hurting you physically and...emotionally- like Whitetail. I wouldn't be upset if you didn't. But I still won't leave you here alone. I don't care what else happens,"

    Goldenstripe

Goldenstripe purred happily and jumped after Lilywolf, having never enjoyed swimming as much as he did now. He swam for home at Lilywolf's side with a eager anticipation for home. He was sure most of Horseclan would no longer trust him, and it saddned him to think he didn't have much more time with Lilywolf, but right now he wouldn't lrt those thoughts control him. ~Goldenstripe (*hint hint*)

    Lilywolf

Lilywolf stares at Goldenstripe, speechless, and then she gazes down at the moonpool. Was this really happening? Could she really go back? The shecat shakes her head in disbelief and all she can whisper is, "Thank you Goldenstripe." Feeling as though she is in a dream, the tabby puts first one paw in the pool and then another. And then suddenly a frenzied excitment pours through her. She could go home! The shecat launches herself into the pool with a splash. Purring, she calls, "You better be willing to swim now Goldenstripe! Cause that's how we're going home!" Waiting for him to join her, Lilywolf then dives down, swimming next to him until her vision fades and everything turns black.... ~ Lilywolf &hearts

    The Dark Forest
¿A mist at the edge of a meadow conceals

    The Dark Forest
¿A mist at the edge of a meadow conceals an expanse of dead, vile trees, The Dark Forest. No light from the stars shines on the rotting floor. Instead fungus gives off an eerie glow and the agonized screeches of cats takes the place of birdsong. Not even the faintest trace of prey scent is to be found, only the stench of death laces the foul air. A mud choked river oozes through the forest like an open wound. Nearby a pile of blood stained boulders and logs rest, from which dark forms of cats can be seen. These creatures have never seen the light, for their hearts are stained with blackness. Power hungry and blood thirsty, they stalk cats through their dreams, filling their hearts with icy hatred. The clans must remain vigilent because if underestimated, The Place of No Stars can easily destroy everything. ~ The Dark Forest, Lilywolf ♥

¿And finally here is the Dark Forest! I'll list it's reminders next!
¿1. This Dark Forest is ONLY for the evil deceased cats of the pacts clans (Horseclan, Sandclan, Ashclan, Northclan, and Rainclan). Do not rp your dead cat here if they are not apart of one of these five clans. But if you join the pact clans, then any of your evil cats who die afterward may be rped in this Dark Forest.
¿2. Cats of The Dark Forest have the important job of being a force against which all the clans oppose. But they must be extremely powerful to break into the waking world (so they can't attack camps or interrupt gatherings). They mainly train apprentices in their dreams. I do not recall kits ever ever being visited by Dark Forest cats though so they should not be here. Also cats here must be truely evil. There should be no willy nilly Dark Forest cats. Ashfur proves that willy nilly cats find their way to Starclan.
¿3. I know people in the past have wondered if we're going to have a good vs. evil thing with Starclan and the Dark Forest. That is completely up to you guys. If you'd like to then great! If not that's cool too! Whatever you'd like!
¿Thank you for reading this and keeping all of this in mind!
