I have never met Pamela Mahoney Tsigdinos, but she asked me to review her book because, as a medical journalist, I have written extensively about infertility. I doubt she knew that I shared with her a personal history scarred by infertility treatments and failures. Her book was hard for me to read because it brought back a lot of my own pain, which I wrote about on my blog ( http://bit.ly/8MlnZ7 ) - but it also gives validation, offering rare insight into how infertility patients often feel silenced and poorly understood. They are the silent sorority - and fraternity - whose suffering is often very isolated because the fertile world cannot relate. Silent Sorority is a brave book and a gift to all infertile couples, whatever stage of the journey they may be on - whether their personal journeys finally end with a child or without. If you're dealing with infertility - get this book and give it to your family and friends to read.

The only book I've read that openly addresses the raw emotions associated with infertility. It's a brave and well-written book that you will likely read in one sitting.
