enjoyable historical romance
After spending a decade as a sex slave in a Turkish brothel, Valentin Sokorvsky finally escaped and came home to England. The aristocrat knows he must marry to sire an heir, but doubts any woman can satiate his sexual need, accept his physical scars without a look of horror and scorn, and especially deal with his emotional issues. He is attracted to innocent Sara Harrison, whom he courts and marries. Sara enjoys fulfilling his sexual needs as she matches him desire for desire and she has no problems with his physical scars as she relishes kissing them. However, she struggles with his emotional issues starting with his distrust of everyone including her. She plans to win his trust by proving her loyalty and faithfulness. He will need her when an unknown foe plots to destroy Val by wrecking his business inertest, devastating his family and especially insure he suspects her of wronging him. --- Valentin is a unique lead character as he suffers from PTSD after spending ten years as a boy toy sex slave in Turkey. His struggles to mentally recover his equilibrium now that he is back in London make the tale even stronger as Sara wants to heal her beloved spouse. The threats to his business and loved ones are well done and exciting, but also feel somewhat intrusive to the prime plot that focuses on patience (time) and love healing nightmarish traumas. --- Harriet Klausner

Soooo not in to the guy on guy stuff... I feel dirty just reading this.... And I don't get how a woman is okay sharing her hubby with another man...

This was riveting from the very first page!
I am a new fan of Kate Pearce. This book rocked from the beginning to the end. It had romance, it had intrigue, it had lust, erotica, sweet feelings...it was all a woman could want!

Perfect Book for Anyone.
Kate Pearce's 'Simply Series' is one that anyone would love reading. If you do not like reading erotic novels you will adore the characters and applaud the story of these people regardless. This book is the first in the series and it lays out the foundation for the entire collection. Valentin and Sara's relationship together and with others covers the entire spectrum of emotions and dilemas. So, if you are looking for a good read, steamy or not, this series is a definate keeper. Although some of the content might be offensive to some readers, menage scenes and m/m f/f encounters.

Very Erotic! Highly Recommended!!!
This is my first experience in the "erotic" area of Regency period romances and I have to say...I LOVED IT! Not only is the background story of Valentin's past sexual encounters as a sex slave in the Turkish brothel compelling, but it gives the reader a look into why he is so sexually charged in the first place. I really loved that Valentin and Sara came together as they did. Sara has her own curious notions of sexuality, but is encouraged and is adored by Valentin for her willingness to learn. I also enjoyed that Peter was brought into this liaison, being Valentin's best friend and lover from their past in the the Turkish brothel. It only made me want to read the next book in the series about Peter even more. I look forward to the rest of the series and more of Kate Pearce erotic reads.

Fantastic
The simply books are the first I have read from Kate Pearce and once I finished the first I hade to have the entire series. You have to be a bit open-minded for these encounters and they leaving you wanting to know more about each character. I can not wait until the next book (simply insatible) comes out in May!!!!!
