    Not for me

This is reason I don't read romance novels. I read one good romance and decided to give another one a chance. Big mistake this book made me say goodbye to romance books. Sex does not equal love. I get lust and even like it in a book but I hate when authors use it for love. I didnt feel any love between Kane and Kyela. All they wanted to do was have sex. I hope her other story are better because I made the mistake of buying the bundle ebook

    A good read

At first I couldn't get into this book. Then I read simply scandalous and The Bachelor, The HeartBreaker and The Playboy and couldn't put them down. I decided to go back to simply sinful & after the first chapter it got much better. This book is not my favorite but it was a good, steamy read.

Wasn't As Good As I Thought

I really didn't enjoy this book. I read the Bachelor, Playboy, and Heartbreaker and I simply couldn't put those books down. If you like to read on going chapters about sex then this is the book for you. There was a little bit of a story line but it didn't really go anywhere. I was really disappointed :(

    Simply Fun Reading

After reading the series involving the Chandler brothers, I knew this was going to be an interesting read. The mystery and intrigue built into the story add to the sexual tension between the two main characters. I could not put it down as I turned page after page. I can't wait to see how much trouble Cat gets herself into in Simply Scandalous!

    Simply Sinful=Sinfully Good Reading

In 'Simply Sinful,' Carly Phillips pens a hot love story pitting Detective Kane McDermott against etiquette school, Charmed!, owner Kayla Luck in a battle of wills where everyone wins.

The story has a believable premise (detective goes undercover to investigate whether business is a front for prostitution), the characters are people I would like to have as friends. They're honest with each other, they speak believable (intelligent) dialogue, there is no BIG MISUNDERSTANDING to keep them apart and they evoke a sense of sympathy and caring.

Although both had suffered loss of parents and other close family, my heart went out to Kane the most. Kayla had her sister (& her aunt, before the aunt's death), but Kane had no one who really loved him. At times, I had a lump in my throat as it became clear he blamed himself for the death of his mother even though he was a child at the time and there was little he could have done to prevent the suicide.

An air of sensuality sizzles and crackles between them, yet Kane is ever mindful of Kayla's position and the danger she's in, and treats her with fiercely protective tenderness. (Hot chocolate and whipped cream will never mean quite the same thing to me again.::: big grin:::) These two are great for each other and I was very happy with the story's resolution.

I loved this story and can't wait to dive into Cat's story, 'Simply Scandalous.' And be on the lookout for Carly's 'Simply Sensual,' in January 2001. I know I will. Carly also writes novels for Zebra Bouquet, as Karen Drogin. Check out 'Perfect Partners' and 'The Right Choice.'

    Enjoyable contemporary romance

In Boston Captain Reid worries that his ace detective Kane McDermott may suffer from burnout due to the fatal shooting of an innocent boy. Kane did not fire the gun that killed the boy but he feels responsible because the lad appeared out of nowhere as he exchanged gunshots with the older brother. The boy took a bullet by his sibling that was meant for Kane. Since he refuses to take any R&R, Reid assigns Kane to investigate Kayla Luck¿s charm school, which might be a front for prostitution.

Not wanting the assignment, but knowing that if he refuses he will be placed on enforced leave, Kane begins his investigation into Charmed. Kayla has modernized her family¿s etiquette school to teach executives how to behave in social settings, especially with foreign contacts. Kane did not expect to find himself charmed by the owner of the business who will end their growing relationship once she learns the truth about him.

SIMPLY SINFUL is an entertaining contemporary romance that will please those readers who enjoy a blazing couple. The lead duo¿s relationship is fun to follow as he hides his identity from his beloved because he needs to investigate her. Sub-genre fans will care for both charcaters and want to read Carly Phillips¿ next month sequel starring Kayla¿s sister Cat (SIMPLY SCANDALOUS).
