Got me excited about learning to diagram sentences!

I got this book because I heard of something called: diagramming sentences. This book was the only book that B&N had on it, so I picked it up. It does not teach how to diagram sentences, but it did get me excited to learn. It provided a story about the author and some back ground information on how diagramming sentences came about. This book also has a lot of examples of diagrammed sentences. This book, I believe, is good for those that wish to have a fun, quick read and learn something at the same time. My father said he wished there was a book like this when he had to learn how to diagram sentence, for he had nothing to get him even the slightest bit interested in diagramming sentences when he had to learn to in school. Hope this is helpful!

Puts a little giggle into grammar

An excellent gift for any teacher attempting to impart the "lost art of diagramming" to their students, this book is a unique look at the history and dissecting of English sentence structure. Based on her own experiences in diagramming, as well as analyzing various sentences, Kitty ingeniously starts and ends with the barking dog. Reading excerpts from her humorous and insightful work to pupils will surely inspire and encourage. The only caution is "Beware the flaws!"
