    MUSIC THAT MAKES YOU STOP!

I was walking throught the grocery store the other day and heard the "Kiss Me" song on the store radio. I literally stopped in the midle of the aisle to listen to the song. I am infatuated with this music. It's simply sublime.

    The warm sound of summer

Picked this album up on impulse because I've always loved those radio-friendly songs There She Goes and Kiss Me, which featured in the film She's All That and TV's Dawson's Creek. There's something about this jangly American guitar band and their upbeat summer sound - plus singer Leigh Nash has that cutesy, girl-next-door voice that adds to the happy feel good factor that singles out Sixpence None The Richer. Guitarist Matt Slocum is such a fantastic songwriter - he composed most of the tracks himself. I especially like the song The Lines Of My Earth with its haunting melody and lovely line "This is the last song that I write, 'til you tell me otherwise." I don't know if the band are still going, as I haven't heard anything from them for ages, but I do hope so otherwise. Beautiful album that I just can't stop playing.

    Great CD!

The group¿s CD is a classic example of a good group realizing their potential. The song writer¿s lyrics are complicated enough to add importance and meaning to the songs, something that is commonly lacking in such modern works as ¿Oops! I did it again!¿ and ¿Let me go.¿ This CD provides a harmonic flow between songs, with some of the tracks ¿leading-into¿ others. The finely tuned, precise voice of the lead singer strikes a person in the heart, and gives you a true sense of musical beauty. I have seen few CD¿s that I know I will listen to several hundred times in it¿s life, but this is one of them. Every song is clear, well-recorded, and easy to like. Also, this CD provides the listener nice songs that they can relax to. A great buy!

    Gotta luv 6pntr

My only regret is that only a few of their songs have made it to the radio. I can hardly wait for the release of their new album.

melodic genius; and, real life lyrics

the album opens with my favorite song 'we have forgotten,' about the pain of dreams that have failed, but of the hope we still have when focused on the eternal, not temporal. this album deals with life's many struggles, but uses such driving and melodic music to counterbalance the dreary setting. beautiful vocals, and striking instrumentals, - this is a great album.
