Patrick Hightower: making eyes at Aisha on day one, meeting her at Friendly's, loving her son, calling her love on day one, protectong her from a vicious ex husband, and my favorite line of all time, "Love, we are going to be late". You have to read the book to see why. Patrick Hightower is my man.
Try this book. You will fall in love with the Hightower brothers, Patrick, Lawrence, Jason and Joel and of course Tyerll. Just regular working guys, a fireman, a cop..... no super riches here. But beautiful, such a warm family that Celia and Papa Hightower made. I can't get enough of them. And don't forget Carla. That woman is a trip, and I love her. There is a Carla in every family. I even miss crazy ssa Aunt Sophie and her evil self now and then. So I keep coming back. They feel almost like lost family.
Oh and they are H.O.T. hot hot. There are 5 books in all so far. I hope Ms Bolton can conjur up some hot cousins and continue the love..... like the Westmorelands by Brenda Jackson. -

Gotta love the Hightower Series
This is last book so I suggest read them in order but regardless they are all very great books and you will fall for The Hightower men....

7 out of 10 stars
Aisha has suffered enough to last a lifetime. Not only did her first marriage end with domestic abuse, but also, she hasn't been able to find a man in a long time -- she doesn't need one. Or does she? She doesn't quite realize how lonely she was until she meets more-than-gorgeous Patrick Hightower, firefighter, at the local station. From the beginning, the attraction is undeniable; even he makes moves on her. But Aisha won't leave her heart open that easily.

The synopsis was really intriguing; I kept the book in my hands and I couldn't put it down because I had to find out what would happen next! Like most Harlequin books, it was a quick, enjoyable read.
There were some things that surprised me though. The end was sort of predictable (your typical happily-ever-after ending), but in between, Aisha's ex-husband showed up. I did not see this coming at all. There was only one scene with him in the entire story, but with the first sentence describing his coldness, Bolton really made me hate him as character.
Also, Aisha's adorable son tugged at my heartstrings way too often. He was so adorable but grew up without a proper dad, so it was really evident how unhappy he was. Bolton sure knows how to catch the emotions of her readers. In the end, I was so happy that Aisha and Patrick got married; solely because her son now had a good father :)
I would totally recommend Sizzling Seduction for anyone who wants to read of variety. The novel was light-hearted and day-to-day paced, but there were some very intense (i.e.: steamy) scenes, and some really sad ones as well. It perfectly described a family fairy-tale, so if you like closing a book with a full, satisfied feeling, I would recommend you read this one.
Rating: 7 hearts- A few flaws here and there, but wouldn't mind rereading. -

Healing Powers of LOVE...
I HATE that this is the final installment to Hightower Honors series...but it's quite an ENTERTAINING and HEARTWARMING conclusion...and OH, BOY do I love me some Patrick...he IS THE MAN...in or out of his fireman's uniform...he's DEFINITELY got it going on...and he patiently works his "magic" on Aisha and her son Dillon...they made the PERFECT blended family...I was so glad to see Celia FINALLY give dear ol' Aunt Sopie what she REALLY deserves...once again the full cast of characters are LIVELY and UNFORGETTABLE...I can't wait to read Terrell and Maritza's story...talk about some DRAMA...this series is a MUST read...you will NOT be disappointed!
