A RARE AND TIMELY BOOK
Erich von Daniken introduced the concept of "Ancient Aliens" to the world in 1970. He is the undisputed father of what has now become a subject of growing interest among millions throughout the educated world. Zechariah Sitchin added weighty evidence and credibility to von Daniken's theory in the early 70's through his interpretation of humanity's earliest written account of history, rediscovered in the buried, cuneiform, baked-clay libraries of the world's oldest civilization, the Sumerians. In the intervening years many sober-minded and gifted scientists, authors & researchers have added additional substance with facets of evidence which contribute to the validity of the likelihood for the actual presence of an advanced, non-terrestrial civilization that colonized Earth in approximately 430,000 B.C. (perhaps earlier) and co-inhabited this planet with our distant Homo erectus ancestors. I read von Daniken's first book "Chariots of the Gods" as a young man in 1971, and Sitchin's "Twelth Planet" not long afterward. Since that time I have personally read and researched almost every book put into print on this and any related subject which could potentially confirm and establish the reality of our human legacy through the intervention of advanced beings from another part of the universe. While perhaps a hundred or more individuals, too numerous to list here, have made substantial contributions to the validity of the Ancient Astronaut Theory in the interim, through my exhaustive personal research I have only encountered a handful of writers and books during this time who have been able to synthesize all of the information and knowledge into a single, comprehensive, reasonably accurate retelling of mankind's true history of evolution over the last half-million years. Michael Tellinger and this book are one of the those very few. The list also includes: Paul Von Ward's "We've Never been Alone," Neil Freer's "God Games, Lana Cantrell's "The Greatest Story Never Told" and, I submit in all humility, my own book "Intelligent Intervention." I rated this book "Five Star" because of the author's cumulative research and ability to tie the many loose ends of human history into a coherent and acceptable replacement for the antiquated and worn-out myth that is presently being taught in our schools, churches, colleges and shamefully passed off as the story of human history. While Tellinger's book, along with mine and the three others I referenced, are not going to be best-sellers any time soon (they are each too controversial at this stage of human knowledge and current acceptability) they will steadily gain credibility and acceptance with each new generation of the 21st Century and beyond. At the same time I encourage each of you that have an open mind, are reasonably well educated and interested in the true story of humanity on Earth to read this book and each of the other four I referenced in this review. Your understanding of history will be forever changed. One small, constructive criticism of Telliger's book ... I find the title to be unfortunate and perhaps misleading. While slavery has been a very real component of the human story from our artificially created human genome to the present, from my own research I am not as convinced that the Gods (advanced beings) that are responsible for our current human condition were not as sinister as this book describes and advoca
