    An amazing book!

There's something in this book for everyone! 'Sleeping Beauty Overslept' is cleverly plotted with a satisfying finish. Joe Tompkins skillfully blends together: traditional fairy tale, mystery, thriller and fantasy. This novel is for the young and old alike!

    Surprisingly Great Read

I picked up this book by chance because the synopsis looked interesting and i've always liked the modern/fairy tale mix. I was very suprised at the great story here. It was an easy read 'I read the whole 270+ pages in one night, but that's nothing new', but the plot had some genuinely surprising turns and the characters were funny and likeable. I plan to give my copy to my neice '12 years old' when I see her next, but I'm thinking I might also want another copy to keep for my own collection. If you're a fan of a good romantic/adventure novel, I wholeheartedly recommend this one.

Nice modern-day twist on an old story

This book was a great suprise. Funny, exciting, lots of great plot turns. My 13-year-old bought this novel for herself and I picked it up and couldn't put it back down. The characters are well-crafted and the story is great. Basically it boils down to this: Two brothers who live in modern-day New York State find Sleeping Beauty in the woods, where she has been hidden away, sleeping, for 1300 years. She wakes up (no, they don't kiss her. Something else happens, but I don't want to give it away) and now she finds herself in the modern world. The story follows her as she tries to fit into high school while at the same time she and the brothers work to solve the mystery of the curse that's on her. Highly recommended.
