Slow Heat will melt your heart

If you love romance and you're a baseball fan, or even if you're not, odds are you will love Slow Heat, a follow-up to Double Play. Slow Heat features the Santa Barbara Heat's catcher, Wade O'Riley.

Wade is a super-star catcher, but unfortunately he's known for being a player both on and off the field. Wade's charm and incorrigible flirting have women falling at his feet everywhere he goes. When Wade's bad-boy persona gets him into some hot water, the team assigns team publicist Samantha McNead to clean up his image by pretending to be his very public girlfriend for a month.

Complicating things is the heat that has been simmering between Wade and Sam since an encounter months before in an elevator, after which Sam has avoided Wade like the plague. They're adults, though. They've worked together since that night. Surely they can handle pretending in public to have a relationship for a month. Or can they?

The story follows Wade and Sam as they cope with the situation between them and with their respective family issues with tenderness, humor, and a whole lot of heat. Slow Heat is definitely going on my keeper shelf.

    Slow heat burns

Jill Shalvis brings back the hot and sexy boys of summer in Slow Heat.

Wade O'Riley, catcher for the Pacific Heat had gotten bad press once again. Some groupie claims she is carrying his love child. Public Relation for the Heat hatches a full proof plan. Wade has to pretend to be involved with the team's publicist Samantha McNead. That should be no problem Wade has wanted to get close again to Sam for a long long time.

Samantha McNead loves her lob working for the Pacific Heat. Her lastest assignment is to be Wade O'Riley's "girlfriend". Samantha has tried to put her one night stand over a year ago out of her mind. Now this forced relationship has brought it all back and then some. As if Sam doesn't have enough on her plat, her brother leaves his young son in her care.

Samantha and Wade think they can handle this pretend relationship with ease. But a searing hot passion and seeing each other in a different light has them both rethinking the pretend part.

Slow Heat sparkles with humor and a sizzling passion that tears up each and every pager. Sam and Wade connect as friends as well as lover. They are funny and sexy and a delight to get to know better. Jill Shalvis books are a must read for every romance lover out there.

Another home run for Ms. Shalvis A stalker claims she is carry

Another home run for Ms. Shalvis

A stalker claims she is carrying Pacific Heat catcher and ladies’ man Wade O'Riley's love child. She isn’t but after the drug scandal (Pacific Heat #1) and rumors of Wades licentious lifestyle the front office wants Wades reputation cleaned up and it’s up to the team's publicist Samantha McNead to make it happen so she is going to be his “pretend” girlfriend for a month proving to the world that he can have a committed relationship. The problem is they have a past. There was a one night stand after an away game and neither have been able to truly get past it. Can the uptight PR pro tame the laid back ladies’ man?
Another home run for Ms. Shalvis. I was disappointed to find that there are no more books in this series. Ai hope that Ms. Shalvis returns to the men of the Pacific Heat someday.

book two in the world of baseball tells the story of wade, catch

book two in the world of baseball tells the story of wade, catcher for the heat, and samantha, sam is the pr person for the heat, baseballs newest francise. wade has the reputation of a wild stud and the owners and sponsors are not happy. sam and wade are forced to pretend to be involved romantically for one month. this leads to some pretty funny situations. of course there is romance alon g the way, and those times a very well written. jill shalvis really knows how to write a romantic story. i love her stories and i am sure you will too!!!

    Absolutely loved it ##

This book was fabulous. I liked the first one, but i liked this one even better. The chemistry between the h/h is hot! The baseball element is so much fun and the sex is amazing. I only wish there had been a longer resolution or an epilogue in the end.

Baseball is in season and this book is a home run.

Jill Shalvis delivers another great baseball centered book that is steamy, funny, and captivating. We've met these characters in her previous books so it was great to get to know them further and find out what happened to characters in other books. I would definately recommend this to everyone.

Slow Heat *** IS HOT ***

This was a great fun book to read. Wade is a professional baseball player who is hot and full of himself. Samantha is the PR person for his team "The Heat"
They fake a month relationship to help Wade's image with the press. Their month turns into something steamy and tense. Sam fights her attraction while Wade fights his feelings for her. They both have to learn to give into their hearts and along the way they both have family issues that the learn to deal with.
This was such a great fun book to read. It is the second in the series, I was not aware of, now I will have to go back and read Double Play.
Recommended for fun light reading and if you need some steamy romance, it has that too.
