Tuesday Jones, sports writer and racing blogger, recently lost her father to cancer. She understands that she makes bad decisions in her life, especially when it come to her emotions and wine. However when she meet Daniel "Diesel" Lange, she knows this is a bright spot in her darkest days.
Diesel Lange was forced to retire from racing two years ago due to a horrific accident that could have killed him. Luckily the worst of his problems now is a bad knee that he occasionally has to take pain meds for. To pass the time he restores old stock cars in his home garage. When he meets Tuesday he is immediately smitten by her outgoing personality but he's unsure if she's too much for him.
Erin McCarthy's Fast Track series gets better and better with each book released and Slow Ride is no exception to that. Tuesday and Diesel are very easy characters to relate to. I saw parts of myself in both of them. The story was much better because it didn't actually have to do with a current driver. It helped, I think, because the drama was between the two was self-inflicted and had nothing to do with "the job."
Overall, the book was enjoyable. It was fast, easy, and just plain old sexy

    LMAO!

I loved these two together! Tuesday and Diesel are great. Erin had me constantly giggling, too. Like usual. And I loved that she kept us involved in the other drivers' lives as well. Thank you! I hope we get another Fast Track book, or ten??? *holds up Girl Scout fingers* 'Cause I promise to buy every single one written!!! <3

The 1st book of the series is still my favorite, but I did like this book. The whole series is a fun read.

    Slow Ride by Erin McCarthy

Slow Ride is the 5th book in Erin McCarthy's Fast Track series. I've enjoyed each and every one. I am not a racing fan and know next to nothing about the sport despite living in the south where NASCAR is a religion. This series takes place in and around the sport but can be appreciated by those of us who are just there for the fun of watching two people get together. These are fast paced, sexy, and a whole lot of fun.
