    First person, bio

This was an entertaining read. It is an autobiography, so of course it is written in the first person. This is the second book of a series and I have not read the first. I would recommend reading that one first. This one is well edited and has a few rough spots. I did not like the repeatitons of some events reoccurring several times within just a few chapters. This book was a nice length. It held my interest. It was like reading a personal journal of someone's life. No cursing, sex, mystery or intense plot. Just a woman's memories of an eventful life, expressing her love and gratitude for the blessings in her life. If you like autobiographies of modern people, then you will enjoy this read.

Highly recommended for memoir readers and writers

A lovely example of a life that one might not have considered noteworthy in the celebrity sense. But had the author not decided to write her story, we would not have gained the insight into her strength of character, her development in the face of hardship, and about country living which we city dwellers could never have imagined. There are humorous and insightful comments about family relationships, and I feel a lot wiser for having read it. I think this kind of book would encourage someone who feels hesitant about writing of his/her life to see how important it might be to share it.
