    Pretty Good

I only gave 3 stars because while the book content is all you could ask for in sock knitting patterns, as a Digital book it fell short of the physical book. Don't get me wrong! The graphic's were bright and clear on my color eReader, but the ability to "flip" top, leg, and foot sections was not there. Maybe the technology is not there yet, but you can't blame a girl for being hopeful!

You can still gain a lot of helpful advice (and cute patterns!) on knitting socks from this book, but until the tech is there to support it - go with the physical book!

I admit to being a collector of knitting books. Most of them are wonderful eye candy which I enoy and place on my bookshelf for "someday" use. This is not one of those books. This is like a great cookbook which you cannot live without. I am truly amazed how useful and well written this book is. I like that the authors assume basic knitting skills because not every book can be everything to all readers. This book assumes the basics and does not bore you with the how to knit, purl, choose your yarn, and worse snore the ever popular anatomy of a sock. It goes straight to a mix and match collection of toe, heel, leg, and cuff patterns that ANY sock knitter will enjoy, cherish, and use regularly. Hats off to a great book. I give this high marks.
