    Love heals the broken heart!

Although this is the second book in the series, it can stand alone. The heros of the series are FBI agents. Who doesn't love a strong, handsome, manly man who can show his softer side.
The first book gives some background information on the main characters that will give you more understanding. This book focuses on Patrick Richards, the second oldest brother, and his new partner, Kate. Kate is used to working alone and has to overcome the negative reputation of Patrick. Patrick not only has to gain her trust but also her respect. Kate has built up walls to protect her heart and fears relationships.

I liked this book.  This was book 2 in The Broken Heart Series.  The first book The Lies That Save Us was good too.
This is a series about the Richards Brothers.  The Lies That Save Us was Cayman’s book, this one is Patrick’s the next one will be Sam’s.
Patrick is an FBI agent as well- all the brothers are.  Patrick is teamed up with Kate Clark. They are to pose as a newly married couple in the subdivision.  The goal is to find out about the next door neighbor who is a suspected terrorist.
Kate has walls built up around her heart so that no one can get close and in turn no one she loves will die and be taken from her. Everyone she has ever loved has died. Patrick lives for the no strings attached one night stands. No emotions equal no complications. Let’s see how that works out for them. This is a happily ever after sort of book with a twist.  You have the suspense of what will happen next, are they going to figure out who the neighbor is and how they are getting supplies in the house when no one ever sees them leave.  Can they survive the operation with their hearts intact? Patrick starts to break down Kate’s walls, but then just as fast they go back up. Patrick is at a loss as how to deal with her. He tries to give her the space she needs. They continue the assignment and see it to the end.
A great mystery, action and romance read.  There wasn’t any swearing that I can recall, the romance scenes were not graphic.  I’m not opposed to those types of books but I don’t think it would have fit as well in this one.  I would recommend this series.  I will be buying book 3 when it becomes available.  I have found a new author to follow.
