A great book
Katie Collin¿s boss is leaving on a six-week trip to Europe. While he¿s gone, he wants Katie to help his daughter, Wilhemina, find a husband. If she¿s successful, Katie will receive a $100,00 bonus. The money will offer her the chance to provide a better life for her younger brother who attends a school for the hearing impaired. The boss then offers Michael Wingate the job of providing security for his entire company, if Michael agrees to provide protection for Wilhemina during this six-week period and screen the possible marriage candidates to weed out those that are `unacceptable¿. Since the search for a husband isn¿t proceeding very well, Wilheminia takes off for Texas in search of a `cowboy knight¿. Katie and Michael have little choice but to head for Texas and track her down. Over the course of the book, Michael learns that Katie¿s not who/what she appears to be and she¿s trying desperately to run away from her past and escape the shadow of her now-deceased mother, who was not the most respected woman in town (not above using her feminine charms to get what she needed/wanted, had four children with four different men, lost custody of two of her children, etc). My one and only complaint was at the end of the book, Michael did some investigating and discovered that Katie had been left an inheritance by her grandparents, who she¿d never even met. In my opinion, it seemed very contrived, wasn¿t really needed, and didn¿t add anything to the story (it did offer a chance for Katie to reunite with her sisters, but that could have easily been achieved in other ways). The book is well written, and Katie and Michael are very likable characters. They had clear goals and strong motivations for wanting to achieve them. I was rooting for them to be successful throughout the entire book (as well as rooting for Wilheminia to find her soul mate). And I *loved* Sunny Collin¿s (Katie¿s mom) words of wisdom, which appeared at the beginning of each chapter (ie: ¿God created passion. Denying passion will only make you cranky.¿).

A Perfect Summer Read!!!!
What an awesome book!! I loved every moment, could not put it down. Took it on vacation to read at the beach and it was time well spent!! I read romance books just like this one and this is by far the best!! Leanne writes as if you are the character in the book and makes you feel what is happening. The romance between Katie and Michael is super hot and she writes is very well. A good story line with hope for all of us that there can be a romantic, passionate, and caring man out there somewhere for all of us to have. Oh how I would love to meet a man just like Michael Wingate!! I am looking forward to reading the next one. Highly recommended, read it, you will love it!!

Some Girls Do
Katie Collins downplayed her looks to blend in at her job. Her latest duty is to help her boss¿s daughter land a husband. When the daughter runs away to Texas, Katie is forced to turn to bodyguard Michael Wingate for help. Michael needs to land a major security job to prove something to his self. He does not need to baby-sit an heiress and her matchmaker friend. On the road to Texas, Katie comes out of her shell. Michael is making her think and want things she has never thought about before. This book is wonderful. It is a laugh out loud funny. The chemistry between Katie and Michael is fantastic. I am so glad this book was recommended to me.

Funny and sweet
Working as a personal assistant to CEO Ivan Rasmussen, Katie Collins is unwilling to jeopardize her financial security. She hides her beauty behind black-rimmed glasses and boring, gray suits. When Ivan offers her $100,000 to find a husband for Wilhemina, his overweight and shy daughter, she willingly accepts. She is counting her pennies, knowing that the money will provide for her and her deaf younger brother, Jeremy. Ivan also enlists the aid of security specialist Michael Wingate, offering him a potentially lucrative contract with his company. All he has to do is be Wilhemina's personal bodyguard and screen the prospective men that Katie finds. Michael grudgingly accepts since he has his personal agenda to achieve. Over an evening of margaritas, Katie tells Wilhemina her a childhood story of a cowboy knight in shining armor. Unknowingly, this feeds Wilhemina's desire to find that special someone. Putting personal differences aside, Katie and Michael set off for Texas to find their charge. Both suffer from trust issues, stemming from their traumatic childhoods and set out to find her together to fulfill their job obligation. However, Katie is also worried about the gentle and naive Wilhemina. The journey is even more painful for Katie since she has vowed to stay away from Texas, where she was raise by her mother, who fathered four children with four different fathers. Self-reliant over the years, Katie and Michael are surprised by each other's acts of kindness and their latent feelings for each other bloom. The secondary plot deals with Wilhemina and Douglas, the hog farmer. We learn that the rich girl is a shy and vulnerable woman who just wants to find someone to love. 'Some Girls Do' is a wonderful single-title debut for Leanne Banks. If this book is any indication of future books, I look forward to the sequel, 'When She Was Bad', which tells the story of Dee Montague, Katie's younger sister.

A Must-Read Romance
Series romance author Leanne Banks has made the taken the plunge into the single title market and yee haw howdy, the results are terrific. Some Girls Do offers readers a double-your-fun story of love and laughter. After leaving behind her trailer park childhood for a job working for Ivan ¿the Terrible¿ Rasmussen, Katie Collins never dreamed her job would require finding an acceptable husband for Ivan¿s overweight and socially inept daughter. Katie had always tried to be normal (whatever that was) and to stay under the radar. She just didn¿t want to be like her late mother Sunny. But the 100K price tag that Ivan attaches to the assignment persuaded Katie that this might be worth the effort. She had responsibilities and that kind of money would be a big help. Michael Wingate owned a security company and in trying to win Ivan¿s business, he found himself embroiled in the husband-hunting plan as well. After Wilhemina jumps ship and heads for Texas to do a little hunting for herself, Michael and Katie follow her. Of course, Texas is the last place Katie wants to be. It¿s what she¿s been trying to escape all her life. And Michael isn¿t without demons of his own. He has something to prove and maybe this will do the trick for him. But these two prove to be a match for each other and watch out as the sparks fly! Add a cowboy gigolo, a hog farmer named Douglas, and a hairless cat to the cast of characters and readers are in for a wild adventure. And although Sunny Collins is dead, she still influences her daughter from the grave by invading her thoughts, often at the most inopportune times. Be sure to pay careful attention to the Sunny-isms sprinkled throughout the book. You may want to frame them and hang them on your wall. Some Girls Do will make you laugh out loud and is ripe with sensuality and excitement. It has something for every reader: a plain-Jane woman, an unhappy rich girl, a sweet cowboy who is every girl¿s dream, a hunky businessman who is your dream if you¿re not into cowboys :-), and a happy ever after conclusion. Get your copy ASAP and enjoy the ride!

A REALLY GREAT BOOK!
I picked this book up not knowing what to expect. I'd never heard of this author before and I got the book for free at a conference I attended. Now I'm mad I waited this long to read it. Wow! If you're looking for an author who writes a terrific light-hearted read sprinkled with some great characters and hilarious one-liners (the Sunny Collin's Wisdom killed me!), click the 'buy' button right now. I don't think you'll be disappointed.

enjoyable contemporary romance
Katie Collins hides her beautiful body beneath the guise of a prim and proper lady because she wants no trouble with the spouse of her boss Ivan Rasmussin. When the computer game CEO offers Katie a chance to make one hundred thousand dollars, she jumps at the opportunity because she needs money to reunite with her three siblings, each from a different father. Ivan wants Katie to find a husband who passes his criteria for his shy obese daughter Wilhelmina. Ivan bribes security expert Michael Wingate to serve as bodyguard to Wilhelmina while he vacations overseas and to conduct background checks into the men that Katie selects. Michael reluctantly agrees because he expects to take over security for Ivan¿s firm if he holds up his end of the bargain. When Katie tells Wilhelmina of a fairy tale in which the princess finds true love in Texas, the heiress eludes her two watchdogs and journeys to the Lone Star State. As Katie and Michael follow, they fall in love even as Wilhelmina meets her prince, but will these two deserving couples find permanent happiness with one another? SOME GIRLS DO is an enjoyable contemporary romance starring several delightful characters. The story line focuses on two lonely women who find love when neither expected anything. The support cast augments how deep the audience sees inside Wilhelmina and Katie. Though the males in her father¿s circle are too nasty for consideration, fans can bank on this author providing a wonderful tale of love. Harriet Klausner

That in each other they have found someone to love and lean on ....the other half to their souls ....and for Katie an understanding of why Some Girls Do . With her first Single Title Leanne Banks shows just why fans love her and publishers are willing to work with her . She can create magic with words and transport her readers into the depths of her pages right along with her characters ......and leave them wishing that they could stay their with their newfound friends . Because that is what her characters become to her readers ....Friends ....Friends who you enjoy being around , watch grow and fall in love , make babies ...Friends that they don't want to leave behind . While Some Girls Do manages to cut through the invisible lines between classes and shows that love knows no boundries it ultimately shows us that beauty is only skin deep , you need to really open your eyes and look past the weight or looks of the person to see the beauty within , The beauty that makes that person so much more special than someone who only wears their beauty on the outside . Some Girls Do has so much appeal because Leanne Banks didn't cater to just the beautiful people when she wrote Michael and Katie. She also gave the average everyday not so
