I have to admit I am not a fan of Marc D'Alessio. In fact I wasn't sure I was even going to read this book, that is how much I didn't like him. I am so happy I decided
to read it because this book is so richly complex and explains so much of his history that you can't help
but find yourself feeling sympathetic towards him and wanting him and Angelina to get their HEA.
The book is told over the same time frame as Nobody's Perfect more or less however it is told from Marc and
Angie's perspective. While in Nobody's Perfect you had glimpses of their unhappiness and the fact that they
separated you don't find out the specifics until this book. Wow, what an amazing journey I was taken on.
You find out, along with Marc and Angie, all the parts that made Marc who he is. Not a tragic abusive past
but something much more haunting that Marc himself doesn't even realize until he goes to the extreme and
asks Adam to do a very specific scene with him to help him learn more about himself and why he is running.
I went from not caring about Marc to rooting for him and wanting he and Angie to work through all
their difficulties and to get to their HEA. A tremendous journey that leaves you feeling fulfilled with tears
of joy running down your face by the final sentence. Bravo Kallypso Masters for writing such a wonderful
book with such wonderfully rich characters that we can relate to….
