    Fun Romp

In this installment of Thursday Next's life and adventure we tie up much of the loose ends from the previous books. Always funny and creative Jasper Fforde really didn't seem to introduce any new twists or devices that wowed from previous stories.

I enjoyed the book but was slightly disappointed about already finding out how it all ends. I'm sure there are many more adventures to be had before we get there but it felt to me like flipping to the last page and reading that first.

All that being said it was a wonderful romp and I will continue to read on!

    Fun series

The Thursday Next series is fun. Great puns, warped humor. Fun to read.

Scrumptious book flawed by poor grammar

Excellent! Wonderful! Totally off-the-wall! Exceptionally British! Though, a little touch of Hamlet in the write(ing), so to speak--some dithering in the beginning followed by much action. Was this purposeful? Slightly improbable to mildly possible. I greatly enjoyed it, even if it was too short, but then, since the book was unquestionably witty, I suppose it must be brief. My only true complaint is the lack of attention to editing. For instance I noticed a particularly scandalous use of 'who's' instead of 'whose.' Overall it is one of the better books in the series.
