Excellent!
Somewhere My Love is one of the most well written romances I've ever read and a keep you on the edge of your seat mystery. The flashbacks to early nineteenth century are a wonderful time travel element. The story is a rich blend of light paranormal with an old world setting and the feel of a classic historical romance, which I loved. The hero and heroine are so well fleshed out I felt as though I knew them intimately, and the secondary characters are equally well developed. Somewhere My Love is a delight and a must read. I can't wait for more from this fresh new author!

Fun Read!
Author Beth Trissel actually contacted me on myspace because she thought my default picture of my youngest son was cute. I'm so glad she did because I have to say that I loved this book. It was so much fun to read. I didn't expect to get so caught up in the mystery. I enjoyed making predictions and finding out which ones were right and which ones were wrong. This is a romance meets Shakespeare meets Greek Tragedy.

Wonderful Love Story!
Beth Trissel's debut novel is an intriguing story of reincarnated lovers who seek to reclaim the love cruelly denied them in their past lives. A captivating story that kept me riveted from the first page to the last. Looking forward to her next release!

My Favorite Story by Beth! Somewhere My Love was my first story
My Favorite Story by Beth! Somewhere My Love was my first story to read of Beth's, and I fell in love with it. Will is my favorite and I certainly didn't expect the twist at the end! I also loved her flashbacks to the early nineteenth century and the light paranormal element. Beth can certainly tell a story and her's are well thought out and detailed so that she pulls you into the time of the story, you can almost touch and smell everything she is telling you about. Somewhere My Love is a delightful story and a great series, can't wait for more!

Beautiful historical romance yet also a mystery.
Review by Jenni: Beth Trissel's debut is a riveting blend of romance and intrigue with light paranormal tones that grab hold of you on page one and won't let you go.

Somewhere My Love weaves a beautiful historical romance with a contemporary story creating a mystery with a pleasant dash of the paranormal. Catch all that? Sure to please readers of all those genres, fans of the Regency period will enjoy the little details of Colonial Virginia when Julia and Will's recollections take them to the turn of the nineteenth century. And as everyone at Foxleigh prepares for the annual Midsummer's Eve Ball, scenes from Shakespeare's Hamlet come to life at the hand of Will's eccentric grandmother, lovingly referred to as the Queen Mother.
A colorful supporting cast of characters helps bring these stories (past and present) to life, and though there is no quiz at the end, keeping track of all the players can become a bit of memory game, especially when they take on the added roles from Hamlet. In addition, I found all the rehearsal scenes to be a tad overkill, eating up a big chunk of the second half of the book when I would have preferred a more tightly wrapped up ending. Unfortunately, the reader is left with a few unanswered questions even with the added bonus of a very short, but sweet, epilogue.
While this fast-paced story was complex with many layers of twists and turns, I did find the writing style to be overly-simplistic and lacking. It is rather unfortunate for a story with such a strong plot and steady flow to be weakened by this, but for a debut novel there is the hope that the author's writing will mature into something that doesn't feel plucked from a shelf of teen fiction. I also shake my fist at Ms. Trissel's editor for not knowing that Jane Austen's name isn't spelled like Austin, Texas.
Nevertheless, I did enjoy this story overall and recommend this book as a pleasant read. And for anyone wary or new to paranormal stories, I would encourage you to give Somewhere My Love a try as a light introduction to the genre. This book is the first -

did not like
I live in Virginia and love the history which I was expecting from this book. I don't like fanatasy or ghost stories so I was disappointed.
I continued to read it to the end but didn't enjoy it at all. I bought her other books as a one time shipment but will donate them to the library. leebo0 out of 1 people found this review helpful.
