    Absolutely fantastic

This CD and DVD set is tremendous! Apparently, these performances were hand-picked by Leonard and his manager, Ed Sanders, from the many performances of the tour. Nearly all of these performances are simply stunning. Meaning, the best ever! Leonard's voice is aging like a very fine wine, and the band is really, really supportive. I could almost say that each of these songs is the best version of that song ever. It's that good.

Unlike the earlier "Live in London", the visuals were shot in High Definition, and the audio mix is nothing short of spectacular and seamless, especially when you consider that each of these performances come from a different concert. Put on Suzanne, Famous Blue Raincoat, Hallelujah, Bird on the Wire and prepare to be stopped in your tracks!

Highly recommended - Amazing, earhy and spiritual, vintage Cohen

I was leery at first, Live albums are always a big question mark with me. I took the plunge. Having been intrigued from my first hearing of Noel Harrison's cover of Suzanne on the radio, I pursued L. Cohen's music and poetry. The blends of musical styles and themes have their unique captivations. The opener, "Lover, Lover, Lover" sets the pace with a klezmer feel and a conversation with the "I AM" sets the pace but it's no time to look back. Every song challenged me in different ways with images "curling up like smoke". I laughed, wept and celebrated a mere sample of this man's remarkable career. The sound his very good and the accompanying musicans seemd just as rapt as the maestro - a beautiful dance. Not for L. Cohen fans only but for those who wanting and willing to taste life's richness, fullnes, heartaches and joys. Thank you Mr. Cohe. May we have another?
