Great for adults too!!!
So a friend of mine bought this book for me while I was going through my divorce. It helped me through so many hard times. For awhile I read it everyday. I think it teaches a great lesson about how we need to keep going even when we dont think we can. Oh yeah, my kids like it too but, for me it will always have a special place on the bookshelf.

My daughter and I love this book!
What a beautiful story and the illustrations capture the feel of the story as well. And it teaches a great lesson for children. I look forward to reading more books from Heather Levine. We also had were fortunate enough to hear her read this story at B&N in Park Slope. And my three year old daughter really enjoyed meeting an author.

An Extraordinary Children's Book
A story about build-up and loss and the courage to build up again. A story at the beach that children can relate to which is at the same time a beautiful metaphor for the ups and downs in life. Heather Levine got a great start with her first children's book. We can look forward with excitement to her next books, hopefully again with the great illustrations by J.K. Drummond.
