    Exellent!!

I really enjoyed reading this book. It was slow to start, but quicly gained momentum. Malik and Kennedy's character's were well written. The plot was well developed. Ienjoyed the flow of the love story.
I didn't like Kennedy's parents nor how manipulative they were, nor how shallow and self desructive her sister was. Skyy was a breath of fresh air in this angst filled drama.

    A reviewer

I've just finished reading this novel by Kim Shaw and it was so sweet, different, and romantic. Unlike most romances, the hero was not a millionaire, from a perfect family, or had the most prestigious career etc. He was a blue collar worker who fell in love with a virtual BAP (Black American Princess), but despite their differences, the two lovers found their way to each despite several obstacles. I especially enjoyed this plot because it was so different. Highly recommended.

    Soul Stirring Read

'Soul Caress' is the first novel I've read by Mrs. Kim Shaw and it was an enjoyable read. The story was about that age old tale of the 'blue collar guy' not being good enough for the 'high society rich girl', yet it had an interesting twist.~~~~~~~Kennedy was in a horrific car accident, that took away her eyesight and had her putting in major time with physical therapy sessions at a rehab clinic called Stillwaters. While wallowing in her misery, Kennedy meets Malik, the orderly assigned to her during her stay at Stillwaters and they instantly feel a connection. Malik is definitely a hardworking, honest, and very caring individual, who immediately wants to take away all the pain and anguish that Kennedy is going through. Malik motivates Kennedy to push through the painful therapy sessions and helps her to see that even though she is blind, her life isn't over. The chemistry and attraction between Kennedy and Malik was soul stirring. They had a unique situation considering Kennedy couldn't see and yet she still loved Malik with her whole heart and soul. She was able to appreciate who he was despite his upbringing, his social class, and his job, she loved him simply because he loved her. Malik didn't just express his love for Kennedy with words, but with his whole spirit. Even though she couldn't see the love in his eyes, she could feel it in his every touch and in his actions towards her.~~~~~~~Up until the accident, Kennedy lived her life to please and to keep the peace with her parents. Not being one to cause trouble and keeping them happy, she finally has to decide if she will do what she wants and live her life for her happiness or let her parents continue to dictate what they want for her. Throughout this novel you will see Kennedy and Malik grow and learn from each other. And despite their different backgrounds, they find an unconditional love with one another, BUT can they hold on to that love or is the possiblity of a happily-ever-after doomed due to the prejudices' and preconceived notions of our society??!!!

    pretty good

This book had the chemistry and romance. Kim Shaw kept you interested the whole way through. I like how the author didn't forstall the attraction that was boiling between the two main characters. This was a really good plot. The author gave you something different nothing that has already been written. I am surprise the author didn't put more emphasis on Kennedy blindness. I actually thought she was going to stay blind. I really didn't like the Nona part in the story really didn't need that to keep you interested. Madison is going to be a trip. I don't know about her story. Kim Shaw is going to have to bring Madison story out. Because all I saw was a spoil, party girl slut.
