Sarah Stillman's book really helped me

I read a book called Going Places, which had a chapter by Sarah Stillman about her travels to Cuba and Cancun. So I searched about her on the computer and found her book called Soul Searching.....I can't believe how good it is. the main thing is it helps you with ideas on how to cope with your problems and after I read it I worked some stuff out in my life. The two things Sarah wrote about that were the best were how to put feelings in a journal and how to use Yoga and how to make time for yourself. I think she is 16 so that's probably why she knows what I've been going through. Be sure you find Soul Searching: A Girls Guide to Finding Herself, because I almost bought her other book that is just a Journal with alot of mainly blank pages that isn't worth the money.

    A Great Find

This book is a rarity - one by a teenager that offers creative ideas to make the most of this wonderful but sometimes confusing time in life. Sarah Stillman offers constructive tools and information to help teens look within and outside themselves as they try to make sense of their lives. It is telling that the reviewer above thinks a teenager could not have written this book. Underestimating the depth of adolescent personal development is an occupational hazard for adults and the reason that this book by a teenager is so necessary. As the mother of three daughters this is a great way to help them deal positively with the many questions of adolescence and set a pattern for personal growth throughout their lives.

I really loved 'Soul Searching'--it's a cool book!!!

I'm 16 and so is the author of 'Soul Searching' whose name is Sarah Stillman. I can't believe she could write this book and have so many great ideas for teenage girls. Basically it has alot of self-discovery techniques to help you deal with insecurity, peer pressure, problems with parents and friends, and so on. Soul Searching helped me on things like how to relax, how to keep a journal, how to use aromatherapy, yoga and meditation, and how to interpret what my dreams mean. This book deals with heavy stuff, like developing your own philosophy of life, but it's fun to read. I've been trying to think of what my passion in life will be as a result of reading this. I guess that's all for now.
