A Faithful Inspiring Book you Must Read

Soul Surfer is a great book that lets you know no matter what happens you can fulfill your dreams. If you keep your mind to it you can achieve your dreams. Bethany put the book and the movie out for the world to see because she wants people to know it can happen and nothing is impossible. I thought that Soul Surfer is a very well written book that is faithful and inspiring.

When Bethany starts writing the book it is on Halloween night a few days before the attack, and I goes though her so call ¿normal life¿ before it all happened. Then it takes you through the day of the attack and the things that went through her mind and how well she really did stay calm. It also has a section where it goes through what her mom, dad and her two brothers what they were thinking. She tells you how she felt through the days in the hospital and then when she goes home the struggles that she is now going through. She has problems doing things that we do every day and wouldn¿t think of ever being hard to do or impossible. The days when trying to get back out on her board and how stressed she could get, but she keeps calm and sticks with her goal. Then the day when she first gets up and is riding a wave, and when she gets back into competing. It really is amazing the thoughts that she shares with you through that time, and how she felt. It also goes through the movie making part, and how she got to watch that take place.

The book takes you through the main days that are important, and they go in order through the book. It really helped me that way because you can see each day compared to the attack. This book is not like most of this kind that I have read because it is from her point of view and she is the one writing the book. That was something that really stood out to me as a reader, because she is not an everyday author, but I really liked it. I thought that Soul Surfer is a very well written book that is faithful and inspiring book to read for any reason.

The book was great and I would defiantly go back to read this book again. It is written from the victim, which will really help you understand how she really felt through everything that happened. I thought it was much better that the movie for numerous reasons.

I gave Soul Surfer four stars because I thought it was a book that I would recommend to my close friends and it is a story that really inspired me. Read Soul Surfer if you need some encouragement!

Soul Surfer so inspired!

I loved the movie,it truly touched something in me so reading Bethany's story was a must! I loved how the voice and tone of the story was light and always infinitely positive,it was amazing,i love that Bethany stayed so strong and hopeful when someone,well, anyone would have pretty much been broken.A beautifully written biography of hope and courage in a teen,this not only empowers and inspires women and girls but everyone who has been challenged in life,a must read for teenagers who need something to inspire them and anyone who would love an uplifting read! Buy this edition for interviews,new photo and a movie diary by Bethany herself!

It was a great book . I read it for summer reading. I finished it in three hours it was so good. I usually don't like nonfiction books but this one was wonderful. It had pictures and a lot of wonderful information.

A Believer

I really enjoyed reading this book. Bethany talked a lot about her faith and how it helped her through this difficult situation. I believe that if she didn't have faith that He would help her through this, she might not have made it. I found her whole story interesting and would recommend it to others who have faith in God.

AN EXCELLENT READ FOR ALL!!!

SOOOO inspirational, even if you aren't a surfer, Hawaiian, or female. This girl, Bethany Hamilton, deserves more than a book/autobigoraphy. She deserves something out of the ordinary, because that is what she is.

Step Aside Jaws

A delightful, encouraging story of faith in action. It is hard to fake a come-back from great adversity. It is hard to fake a positive attitude when you have to relearn a sense of balance in an area where you were ranked among the best in the world. There is a unique richness and honesty to a 14 year old¿s writing style. Bravo to the professional writers who worked with Bethany to polish this work, yet kept it hers. That is a difficult challenge, met and surmounted in this warm-hearted book. From the eye-catching cover design to the text to the photographs, this is a winner Bravo from a Grandpa who has never been on a surfboard and whose closest encounters with sharks have been through aquarium glass, but who found this work fresh and rewarding, upbeat and honest.

Very Inspiring Book

It's an autobiography book on Hawaiian surfer Bethany Hamilton who lost her arm to a shark while surfing. The book mentions backgrounds on Bethany and her family before the shark attack. It also mentions that Bethany kept her faith in God to keep surfing despite having one arm. It's very inspiring book. May make people inspired to do things they haven't done before due to a disability or something else.

Boring and Bad :[

I HATED this book!!! I thought it was so boring and the only part I kind of found interesting was when she got her arm ripped off. That was even boring. The book dragged on and I thought I would never finish it. I had to read it for summer reading and I would never put that on a book list. All she ever talked about was how she had a surfing family and how she believed in god for like almost all the chapters. I wouldn't recomend this book to anyone. It is a waste of money.

It's a Good Book!

It's a good book because it tells about Bethany's life and what happened to her. It tells about how her arm got bit off by a shark. They caught the shark. She didn't see the shark and only had a second to run away from the shark otherwise she would have been dead. If you are scared of a shark, they will chase after you. She taught little kids how to surf and not to run away from sharks or they will attack.

A good book for the soul!

I'm not even a surfing fan nor am I interested in becoming one, but I truly enjoyed this book. Bethany is an inspiration that we can all look to--she didn't even let a shark take away her passion to become a pro surfer. More power to her!! This is a great book and I suggest anyone to read it!

This book is really inspirational

Honestly, this book, was one of the best books I have ever read. I mean she unlocked her potential to overcome the comment she had made first about herself, that she wasn't going to be able to surf, but here she is today, surfing . I just have to say, that any one who likes to read surf stories, you should read this book, because it is honestly amazing. I was so into this book, that I never put it down and read it the day I got it.
