    Awesome Book Two!

As if being the only female demon trapper wasn't hard enough, all the demons know Riley Blackthorn by her name. It doesn't exactly help a girl fall sleep at night when Hell's minions know your name. But it seems that's the least of Riley's problems now. Someone has stolen her dad's body, someone with powerful magic. And she would do anything and everything to get it back. And then there are the new accusations... and Ori...

Riley is back in the second installment to Jana Oliver's The Demon Trapper's series. Soul Thief takes off right where The Demon Trapper's Daughter left off. And if we thought Riley's life was tough then, wait until you step into this one.

Jana Oliver sucks you in from the very first pages, keeping you glued until the last. I was having a difficult time keeping up with myself! Her descriptive prose has you seeing everything there is to see in future Atlanta. There wasn't as much action in this one as the first, but the plot was still intriguing and full of unexpected twists.

Riley is a wonderful character. Though her job is uncalledfor in real life, her worries are some we all have and more - bills, school, boys. Let's just say her problems are a little more... magnified ;) Though the novel is written in the third-person point of view, I liked the small thoughts we were able to catch glimpses of - for both Riley and Beck, and maybe a third, mysterious character I won't tell you of.

I was a bit disappointed with how some things turned out, though I can't complain - that's just how Oliver wanted things to turn out. But the twisted ending has me hanging from a thread. I have no idea how things will turn out for Riley - and there's only one way for me to find out.
