The Best Buffy Fic of All!

Love, love, love this book! Mr Golden delves into the relationship and problems between Spike and Dru. You get in depth characterization of Spike since he is the main character. There is lots of gore so I would not recommend this to the YA crowd despite what it says on this site. The action is quick and continuous. Buy this book. You too will love it!

    Wonderful Book!

I loved this book. I really love it when they go into the past and tell about other slayers before Buffy. The only thing I didn't like was that fact that Spike killed another slayer. I didn't like that it wasn't true to the show. But other then that the story was great. If you are a Spike fan you will love this book. Enjoy!

    Great book!

I loved how the relationship between the Watcher's Council (they were as unconcerned as to the Slayers feelings as they would be with Buffy and Faith) and between the Watcher and the Slayer. Dru and Spike were facinating as well as that creature who wanted to wipe out the Slayer line. As much as I liked Sophie Carstensen, the reining Slayer, I do wish that we could have known a little about her past and what led up to her becoming The Slayer. Other than that it was fine. It does raise a question and is the number of Slayers that Spike had killed. On the show, he said the number was two, one during the Boxer Rebellion and one during the late 1970s. So here is another one.

    Slayers in Waiting, Beware

I have to tell you, this one was really scary! I had to put it away at night and only read small portions at a time. I did love it though. It really gave Spike and Dru's relationship more depth.

    Not the best

The book, while interesting at times, has badly fleshed out characters, and a poor ending.

    Spike is the best villian!

Spike is the best villian that has ever appeared on Buffy. This book gives an amusing look into his past, proving he has been the best bad guy even long before Buffy came along.

    ABSOLUTELY FANGTASTIC!

This book shows allsides to both spike and dru, how they are evil merciless bloodsucking demons and completely love smitten teenagers all in one. out of the small amount of dialogue i read, it really does make me want to run out and buy the book.

Spike and Dru at their best

The show and the books have been able to cast a shadow of intrigue and mystery on Spike. This book tells a story of a Spike from long ago, when he was anything but cordial and out for blood. It is an absolutely great story with details that any fan can enjoy

    Good Book

It was a good book, and it also taught about some of world war. I liked it because of the descriptions (and also because Spike is my guy) I hope that you enjoy it if you take the time to read it.

    Spike's badness shows

I've read all the buffy books for adult readers, and this one I even bought in hardback edition. Spike has always been described as particularly nasty, especially to Slayers, but it never truly shows in the TV series. This book relates the tale of when he was truly 'William the Bloody', and of how he took out so many slayers. You really shouls BUT THIS BOOK.
