My compliments...

This book successfully mashed together our not-so-distant future and Star Trek. It was very well written and very enjoyable, with a hint of episode referances and the suggestion of a Q.

This is the second Star Trek book I've read. The first being "The Academy: Collision Course" by William Shatner an excellant read. This book paled by comparison. It started out pretty good and then lost steam in the middle. The end was too quickly wrapped up and left a ...
This is the second Star Trek book I've read. The first being "The Academy: Collision Course" by William Shatner an excellant read. This book paled by comparison. It started out pretty good and then lost steam in the middle. The end was too quickly wrapped up and left a few things unexplained. This idea would have worked as an episode of Star Trek, but fell short as a book.

    Good OS yarn. Some of the science doesn't quite work (when you are stationary over the north pole of Saturn, a space walker WILL fall!) but it is a good story with some interesting and unexpected twists. A little trite in places, but overall, a 4-star satisfying ST novel.
