If you are a die hard trek fan, especially TOS you'll like this book

What drove Spock's protege Valeris to be part of the conspiracy to assassinate the Klingon Chancellor in Star Trek IV The Undiscovered Country and what happened after Kirk and crew once again saved the day ? Despite getting off to a somewhat slow start, this book did a great job of bringing things together in a story that mostly takes place a few years after the Khitomer accords, but with flashbacks to show what shaped the conspiracy and what events led to Valeris believing that was the proper (and logical?) course of action. As many Trek books do it also brought in other aspects of other characters you know from either later series or the books related to those series, but giving you some insights into the earlier experience of those characters too. If you are a die hard trek fan, especially TOS you'll like this book

Good but short

I don't what book some of these guys are reviewing but this one is only 93 pages and deals with Picard and the nexus after Nemesis (no Data, Riker, Deanna, etc.) It is a good quick read. I regret its abbreviated length and feel deceived by the reviews - I would love to...
I don't what book some of these guys are reviewing but this one is only 93 pages and deals with Picard and the nexus after Nemesis (no Data, Riker, Deanna, etc.) It is a good quick read. I regret its abbreviated length and feel deceived by the reviews - I would love to know what book they'te talking about that is long and after Undiscovered. Having said that $2 for a couple of hours of entertainment is a fair exchange. Still . . . I wanted more.

Same review page as "Stuff of Dreams"

"Cast no Shadows" is 300 plus pages book from 2011 dealing with post Undiscovered County plot lines; "Stuff of Dreams" is a stand alone post-Nemesis Picard tale told in fewer than 100 pages. Both have the same Review page. I imagine it is a B&N screw up. Just saying as a heads up to readers. Neither will expand your vocabulary; both will entertain you.
