I read this (and actually reread it) when I was a young adult. I was hesitant to pick it up; as far as Next Generation characters, Worf was probably the last one I'd want to read about re: academy days (wouldn't it be fun to read about Jean-Luc meeting Boothby and winning that academy marathon?). But this book proves to dispel your doubts, even if you aren't a Worf fan (I've softened to the big lug in recent years). Peter David has this weird way to make you both like and object to a character's actions, usually the same action, and you are left feeling the feelings that other characters no doubt feel. Worth the read, especially if someone saw the new "Star Trek" movie and kind of liked it. I would recommend it for kids 10 and up.Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback.
