Decent but not the best

The story was okay, but I felt that the characters were not developed enough. It is a romance story, but there is plenty of action to go around. It is an important book to read if you are reading the New Jedi Order series of novels.

Han vs Isolder- She really had to think about it?

Okay, here's the thing. I kinda like the book except for the Dathomirian Witches who didn't make sense and the ehole thing with Leia hating Han. I get what kind of story Wolverton was trying to write, but if Leia was suddenly going to decide to marry a stranger Isolder could have been better introduced OR Wolverton could have given Leia more better reasons to marry him. This is a classic stupid love triangle that is almost as dramatic as Twilight. I think Troy Denning should rewrite Han and Leia's courtship story. He'd perfect it.

    Not what I was hoping

I didn't like this book at all. Han Solo was not Han Solo, and that ruined it. He was very different from the movies and other novels. Different in a bad way that is. I though the whole 'kidnapping' thing was silly and I didn't like the character Isolder. This book is readable but it does not have the feel of the Star Wars universe, to me at least. If you want to start reading the EU, this book is helpful but not necessary to read and understand later novels.
