It's Always Good to Get a Little Help

It is nice to read the perspective of a stay-at-home mom who really has her work cut out for her. I often feeled overwhelmed with only one child, so hearing it from someone with a half a dozen kids is really uplifting and helpful. She includes simple ideas to incorporate that will help a mom feel like a human, and not just like a mom. The author is obviously a busy person, but the good attitude with which she attacks this, the hardest job in the world, is quite helpful. Campos-Duffy seems grounded in her faith, and her ideas are not far-getched or unreal. A quick, helpful read!

    Very helpful...

I stay at home with my kids and it can sometimes be very stressfull. This book helped me understand and validate some of my feelings. I felt like the auther really understood and sympathized with everyday ups and downs of staying at home with your children. It made me realize that there will be good days and bad days and that you have to take each day as it comes. A very helpful book and I would definatly recommend it to other mothers.

Rachel Campos-Duffy Writes About the Joy of Staying Home to Raise Children

Rachel Campos-Duffy writes a realistic account of stay-at-home motherhood that both inspires and entertains. Finally, someone tells it like it is and does so in a thoughtful way. Campos-Duffy presents staying at home as the challenging job it is without belittling women who work outside the home. Staying at home is a privilege and should be viewed as a great opportunity rather than a mind numbing chore. Campos-Duffy has five children and is an expert on the topic. This book celebrates parenthood and is a must read.
