    Excellent GED Preparation

As a former teacher of adults seeking a GED diploma, I prefer this book over competitors such as Steck-Vaughn. The exercises give GED students the 'biggest bang for their buck' and are concise, easy to read, and easy to understand. There is not an abundance of drill and practice - the approach is very time and energy efficient. Students especially liked the assessment tools that helped them identify areas of strength as well as need

Helped me pass... but beware of typos!!

This book helped me to pass my GED. but beware there are a few typos in the mathematics section which can be frustrating, though they are minor.

page 349 has a digram that shows a tally of (28) lacerations and (19) broken bones but when the book solves the problem it says there is (30) lacerations and (19) broken bones. It left me scratching my head and trying to solve the problem over and over before i realized there was a typo.

there is another one i found on p341 where the book has a diagram of a swimming pool shown in feet (15' L) x (9' H) x (9' W) one of the questions ask you to solve the volume in cubic yards in which the correct answer should be (405 cu yd) but the book says the answer is (1215 cu yd). the book doesnt even give the option of (405 cu yd) in the multiple choice section. its frustrating cause (1215) is the correct cu FOOTAGE of the pool but they forgot to divide by 3 feet to solve for cubic YARDS.

a little annoying, but i still passed so 4 stars it is.

    Makes passing the GED easy!

I am in my mid 40's. I found this book very easy to understand and to learn from. I would study one subject per week, then take the test. Passed all on my first try! The best $15 I've ever spend!
