This is a novel that's hard to put down when it's past time to be sleeping! Shinn has always been a graceful and compelling storyteller, but in this book, and the previous one in the series, the reader becomes intimate with characters in a way not often found in urban fantasy--or in any fiction, for that matter. Some of her best work, and I've been a fan for a long time.

    Not your typical werewolf novel.

Sharon Shinn is one of my favorite authors. She tells the story brilliantly with characters that are real along with the full spectrum of emotions and hopes that each of us know so well. She made the concept of shape-shifting believable and more human than not.

    Wonderful

Sharon Shinn is one of my favorite writers. Her stories about shapeshifters are among the best in the genre, and this one lives up to its predecessors. Loved it!

    Decent read

Definitely not one of her best but I dont regret having read it. It was enjoyable enough, just seems to be lacking her usual enthusiasm.

I loved this book. It's a realistic story of what it would actually be like to live with shapeshifters in the real world.
