The Stone Child

Could not put it down!!

After reading this book, I am even more convinced it does not matter what age you are (as long as you are old enough) to thoroughly enjoy this book...actually "thoroughly enjoy" is not strong enough, more like fantastcially fun! It's both thrilling and funny - it will give you goose bumps and make you laugh. Every character gives you something to relate to. One of the best things about the book is the twisting and turning of the plot with tons of surprises! I read the book straight through.

Chills and thrills

I literally couldn't put this thriller down. The plot mixes a young man's passion for his favorite author's work, the mysterious disappearance of that author, strange creatures that come to life out of the pages of the author's work and the inquisitive minds of three friends. There are many twists and turns along with surprises at almost every page. This book is a great reading tool and reminiscent of the John Bellairs Mysteries.

AWESOME!!!!!

The book was really suspensful, the author really knew when to put in the twists and he really came up with good scary stuff and the end transitions to make you want to read book 2.

Very Good and Creepy

I thought The Stone Child was a very enjoyable book that became very creepy at times. The character’s personalities went very well with the book. Also, Gatesweed sounded like the perfect town for this story to take place. I would recommend this book to anyone that can handle very creepy and suspenseful stories and is old enough to realize that the events that take place in this book could never really happen. At some points I didn’t understand what was going on, but overall this is a very good novel that is very enjoyable and hard to put down.

Couldn't Put "The Stone Child" Down!

I loved the Stone Child! It was an exciting, whimsical tale of a young boy who is drawn into the stories of his favorite author. I was immersed in every chapter, wanting to know what would happen next, and rooting for Eddie to solve the mysteries in front of him. It was so well written and just scary enough to make me look under my bed before turning the lights off.

Great first book from Dan Poblocki! I can't wait to read whatever he writes next.

I love Dan poblockie!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You have the best books ever! To those who love Dan's book's you should read "The Night mary's."

Spooky and mysterious.

This book was the aabsolute best book ive ever read. It was never at a boring moment.

Highly Recommended--must read

I loved this book, it was amazing. I had seen my friend read it at school so I decided to read it too. The suspense in this book kept me interested for hours. I have had fantasies all day about this book. Truly wonderful, a must read for everyone.

Great book

This is a very interesting book (recommended by my friend who has GREAT sense for good books) I would really suggest that everyone should try it. I wouldn't let children under 8 read it. (It is awfully creepy at parts.) Overall this one of best books I've ever read
